Actually, some of them are quite beautiful.... Kind of eerie lighting over a lot of the city because of the lights over L:andsdowne Park stadium. They were preparing for the Grey Cup (football -- American-type) game that is today and had every light in the stadium on for the last week. Light pollution and energy-waste be damned for the sake of Commerce, eh?

Thick ice on the car outside - ice, not frost Kinda reminds me of the ice storms in Austin. Fb says that some of it is hail, so I guess there must have been something similar to an ice storm last night. The thermometer outside the back door reads 3ºC (37F), but the one in the back garden and further from the cottage says 2C/36F. The washing on the line is frozen solid

I am sure you will find a way to keep warm!

Today the weather here is just sort of grey - not wet (at the moment) but cold and just kinda grey. We found a themomiter in the garage - we should see if it works ...

Just a thought, but if Gosho and Frenchbean turn up the heating a bit perhaps they could manage a 'John and Yoko' couply shot for the photo gallery.

Today is rather chilly here in Seville but we are still sitting in the living room with the balcony doors flung wide open because we are smoking. Planning to quit smoking tomorrow because it's getting too cold to keep windows and doors open.

In fact, I took it out of a magazine several years ago and added it to my collage of BEATLES that covered my bedroom closet. When we moved six years ago, my Mom insisted the closet door move, too.

The weather is warm (10°) and slightly gusty in Dublin today.

Mostly sunny and 12C/54C in Perthsire today Quite breezy at times too. More rain in Austin apparently, but I don't think Cheapo's going to flood again.

I must have missed all this when I was drifting away from h2g2 and failing to land myself a better job!

Didn't get to see much of the distant scenery cos of the cloud, but the walk through the woods was jolly nice, and very different to what I've been used to for the last five years - lots of moss and lichen instead of desert scrub and cacti
