Most of the rain along the coast missed us. We got just over 1", mostly on Wednesday and it's skipped us pretty much since then. We got a bit this morning, but not much I don't believe. It's been raining all around us since Tuesday. Chances today seem to be falling but are still pretty good.

I didn't use the A/C in the car on the way to work, that was nice.

May it please the court, my a/c was not turned at all yesterday. The last time that happened was probably April. I had the windows open front and back and cleared the summer's fug out of the place. And I guess the rain must have waterlogged the earth on the building site next door because it's 7.25am and there's not a sound coming from it smiley - biggrin By this time they'd normally have been working for more than half an hour.

My days off this week (Wednesday and Thursday) are looking really nice - upper 80s and lots of sunshine, but it's a double-edged sword because it probably means the bulldozers will be going full tilt by then, all day smiley - sadface

Well, it's warmed up again smiley - flustered No more scorchios, thank Bob, but we're back in the low 90s daytime, low 70s at night, and the temperature is tripping the thermostat on my a/c before I go to work.

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I did, briefly, turn on the heater this weekend. It got down to around 40 Saturday night, and even though we closed up the windows it was still about 65 in the house when I got up Sunday. My threshold for being naked and wet is about 70, so I turned it on so I could have a shower.

I've turned it off again now. Supposed to be mid 70s today, and mid 80s tomorrow.

We have a 100% rain chance for tomorrow. You don't often see forecasters chancing their arm the full monty. There's a 50% chance this afternoon, 80% tonight, and after tomorrow's potential deluge it recedes to 40% on Saturday night. Best of all though, the temperatures are going to be much nicer: 78 on Saturday, 83 on Sunday and then gradually creeping up again to 89 by next Thursday.

So, has it rained? In this part of the country a 100% chance is still a bit uncertain...

Oh yes smiley - biggrin A full 2" and change smiley - ok And we've got a very pleasant week ahead of us too - not a single 90° in the forecast, although 89 on Wednesday is as near as makes no difference.

I didn't have to switch on my a/c yesterday morning, nor as I left for work, and when I came back I opened the windows and got a soothing breeze blowing through the place smiley - bigeyes

Oh, that's changed since last night: 90 on Wednesday, 92 on Thursday, 90 on Friday smiley - sadface And for Saturday: "89° Strong Cold Front Arrives". Only in Texas could "strong cold front" mean a temperature drop from 89° to 85° the following day smiley - laugh

And we're down into the mid 50s for the first time Bob knows how long smiley - brr Whenever the temperature dial on my thermostat goes below 65, it's time to put the heater on while I'm having a shower in the morning. It was at around 67 when I got up about 45 minutes ago. We're still going to make 87 today though, and 92 tomorrow. Then another cold front arrives on Saturday and Sunday's maximum is forecast to be 67, and 73 on Monday smiley - bigeyes

Forecast for today: 91. Tomorrow: 74. Sunday: 67 smiley - online2long

I shouldn't be too surprised. It can go from 70 to freezing in two hours when a winter cold front comes through.

I wish it was here too. Yeah, I know, in the 60s on Sunday, but it's going to be 89 again by next Friday smiley - sadface

Definitely going to have to get the duvet out tomorrow night though smiley - brr

And I did, but it was one of those nights where it's too warm for the duvet when you go to bed but too cold for just a sheet in the morning smiley - flustered

I had to switch the heater on this morning, just to take the chill off the place while I had a shower, then I needed put a jacket on to go to work and I probably could have used a hat too cos the wind was fair whipping around my big bald bonce! And I've got the heater on now, but again, just to take the chill off rather a need to actually heat up the place.

It feels like autumn, finally smiley - biggrin

And it's going to be summer again (92°) by the end of the week smiley - cdouble

33! smiley - brr

That's bloody cold smiley - brr

As far as I can tell our minimum last night was 50, although the six-hour reading often shows a higher or lower temperature than the hourly one. Either way, it's the coldest we've been in a long time, and the maximum yesterday (58) was the lowest since March, and tied a record for the lowest high for the date.

Still going to be 92 on Friday and 90 on Saturday though smiley - headhurts
