I haven't seen the numbers for the 7am hour yet but I think we might have dropped below 50/10 last night The latest recorded temperature right now is exactly 50. Certainly feels like it.

Dark at 7am now. I hate getting up in the middle of the night.

Damn chilly these past two mornings - yesterday it was 50/10 at 7am, today 41/5 But the daytimes have been just perfect - 78/25.6 on Thursday, 73/22.8 yesterday, and clear blue skies
But it's going to be 87 tomorrow, and 67 by Wednesday

Here in greater Houston/Galveston area, we've gotten no measurable rain for the entire month of October.

There hasn't been too much here either, but at this time of the year I don't mind that too much.

It's cold again! Another cold front came through on Monday evening and sent our temperature down to 54 last night Let's hope it sticks this time - we were up to 84 yesterday, on November 1st

Fog!
This time of year in Texas makes my poor little brain spin For a couple nights you'll need a duvet; the following night you'll only need a sheet, and maybe the night after that; following that you'll only need a sheet when you go to bed but a duvet by the time you wake up.
Daytime's not so difficult to deal with... yet. We can go from 70F to 80F to 65F for daily highs, and those are all easy to deal with although on the cooler days it can be pretty chilly in the morning, but as long as the sun's shining and there's no wind it doesn't feel too cold. Two, three and four days ago, for instance, I needed the heater on in the morning, just while I was taking a shower because the temperature at dawn was in the low 40s/upper 30s (around 5°C).This morning it's 58F (mid teens C) and I've got my balcony door open at 7.30am.
At least we don't get November storms like the ones I remember from the UK (and which I believe they've been getting this week), although I think the first ice storm I encountered here happened in November.

When I left the house it wasn't raining. Two blocks away I hit it.
Luckily, I always bring foul weather gear along if there's any chance of rain.

There's a bit of frost on the rooves this morning Now the sun's up though, it's quickly disappearing. Looks like we went down to 36 or 37 last night.

It was a hemiptera-geringly cold ride into work this morning.
OK... you folks under feet of snow (E. Vibenstein for instance ) may not be too sympathetic about 40°F weather, but this is on the Gulf of Mexico.

I believe we got down to freezing point in town last night - first freeze of the season. Warming up nicely now though, with the sun out, but it'll be cold again as soon as Phoebe sets.
And my heater has chosen to pack up today It was working okay when I took a shower this morning but when I cam back from the shops a few hours later, nuthin'. It could have been worse I suppose - it could have gone out on a day when I'm at work and I wouldn't have known about it until I got home, ie after the office had closed for the day and the maintenance men gone home.

I'm on the verge of using the wah smiley here, and you know how much I despise that thing.
Here we are, Monday morning, 9am and it's barely above freezing. It's forecast to get up to 59/15 today and then back down to 38/3.9 tonight. So far so good, it's December and I expect that.
But on Tuesday it's going to be close to 70/21, and on Wednesday we'll be pushing 80/26.7 with a low on Tuesday night that's only a few degrees below Sunday's high
And on Friday night it'll be close to freezing again
I wish the damn weather would make its damn mind up

Rain!
Good grief, I'd completely forgotten there was such a thing, it's been so long since we had any.

It's been these past two mornings. It went down to 28/-2 on Saturday night and it looks like last night was about the same. Plenty of frost on the rooves and on the cars.
And here we go on the roller coaster again - the forecast low for Thursday night is 57F - 29° warmer, which is warmer than it was all day yesterday - before another low of 33 on Sunday
But there's a good chance of more rain on Tuesday Which is my only day off this week

That's a pretty impressive video
New York in the snow is very pretty. My second visit there was in November around Thanksgiving Day. On the Wednesday night we went to a local piano bar in the West Village, and when we came out it was already snowing and there was a few inches on the ground We walked back to the friend's apartment where I was staying (where, incidentally, the building's heating was turned up so high we slept with the window open even though it was snowing outside) and watched it for a while, then went to bed.
In the morning there was a foot or so of snow all around. We drove down to her parents' place just across the Pennsylvania border for TG dinner, where they'd had maybe two feet of snow.
By the time we got back to Manhattan on Friday afternoon most of the snow had turned to dirty slush
