wow, so much for doing this every day!
that's what beng back at work does for you.
he enemy is a lot better and even talking about going back to work on monday. i think it's too soon, but she will never listen to me.
i finally have a new base unit, so everything i almost back to normal.
it DOES mean that i can do my live shows on the radio again, which has been driving me mad. i've done two so far. the first was difficult as i didn't have ALL my music loaded. but this weeks was better as i had my portable hard drive back from my buddy.

if you fancy a listen to my show, they are available as a podcast at my website. the link is my profile.

that all for now.
ttfn,
sime.

so the entry about the 1oo club appeal broke some of the house rles, and a such has been removed by the bosses. thats cool, i don't mind.

i did my first live radio show in over 7 weeks last night and i LOVED it. so much so that i over-ran by an hour. if you feel like listening to 2 hours of ska/reggae and 4 hours of other stuff, then head to my radio website. th link is in my profile.

i'm back to work tonight after 2 weeks off. can't make my mind up if i don't want to go back because i have enjoyed being off, or i just don't want to go back because i hate it! time will tell.

at last.

SAM’s broadcast tool set up?

camstreams set up?

MSN set up?

skype set up?

everything else done?

yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!

i had a major panic though, as i wrote the other day. i couldn’t record. well, not strictly true. the sound recorder installed on the new pc could hear everything that was coming into it from other sources ie; the deck, the laptop, the phone, skype, etc, etc. but it couldn’t hear anything ON the pc. mainly the system i use to broadcast. so this meant there’d be no way of recording my show for all of you out there that like to listen on podcast at your leisure. i fired e-mails off to all and sundry in the vain hope that i could get advise. i downloaded the free trial versions of at least a dozen or so recorders. but none worked. i was close to putting my fist through the screen. then Chae, one of our dj’s sent me a meesage. “doesn’t the broadcast tool record anyway?”

WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THAT? IT BLOODY WELL DOES!

so, after what seems like an eternity, the panic is over. i’ve tested it all, and it works fine. stand by your beds, sunday is going to be a blast!

save some of your fireworks, i am back on air this sunday. got a show sorted, everything works. just need my music library installing. but i have enough to last us sunday night. and there’s always vinyl! been a long time coming, but it’ll be good to be back. so gather around your pc’s, get the sofa’s shoved to the walls and make some room for dancing….. it’s gonna be a cracker. as with everything, there’s always a bit of bad news. and on this occasion, it’s the news that i cannot record the show. yet. i am working on it.

see you sunday?

ttfn,

sime.
