Bunking off

I read elsewhere that you were looking for ways to bunk off while still looking like you are working...may I suggest "tracking the (nonexistant) software fault".
What you do is open up several DOS windows, the performance meter, and the control panel...then spend the morning ALT-TAB switching between them. If anyone asks, you are tracking an intermittent fault..

All the permanent staff have been called away to a big meeting today - so there's no adult supervision at all
Don't even have a debugger open at the moment...

Oh bugger. I got all confused and used [ALT +F4}. Bang goes my Nobel prize winning essay on ferrets and their role in Jeungian paradox.

The sad news is that the terrible flooding of Kent has claimed another victim. TV's Uncle Bulgaria, star of "The Wombles" was found to have been damaged beyond repair by the rising water - and with cosmic irony he is beyond repair or recycling.

Yeah - you would have thought it was Orinoco that was wet
It seems that there has been a news balckout on this story since it leaked( ) this morning.
I can imagine that we are going to be fobbed off with an impostor in an attempt to keep the dreadful truth from the kiddies...a conspiracy between the BBC and the green party, no less.
But what to call it? Womblegate? Floodgate is too obvious I suppose.
