Hello Robbie (I hope you don't mind me calling you this).
I'm Bel, a good friend of lil's and have lurked your conversation since she told me about it. lil knows that I lurked it.
I am one of the AViators, but don't know a lot about the technical side of our website (http://www.h2g2aviators.com).
However, I have contributed a few things (eg: A50479617) (as have many others: A33205222). Here's our h2g2 homepage: A13264670
Skankyrich is on a hiatus, but TRiG (who maintains the external homepage) is still around: U612575
There are lots of very active researchers who contribute much to the guide. There may be an h2g2 meet in London soon. Currently, people try to find out if there is an interest in an autumn meet this year. There's definitely an interest in having a spring meet next year.
Hope you don't mind my intrusion.
Bel

Hi Bel, am very happy to be called Robbie and no intrusion at all. Would be very interested in a meet in London if such a thing were to happen. I tried following the A viators link but for some reason it wasn't working. How long have you been a researcher? Best wishes Robbie

Hi Robbe,
sorry the link didn't work. Must be because of the brackets.
Try this:

I've been on h2g2 for a bit more than seven years now.
I joined the site after I had read 'The Salmon of Doubt', where it is mentioned so often that it made me curious enough to check it out.
I've been here ever since.

If you add London Meet U1243703 (the name varies, depending on which meet is being planned) to your friends list, you'll get notified of any future conversations.
If you subscribe to A4143647 you'll get notified of each new edition of <./>ThePost</.> where you'll find the announcements which are updated every week.
There, that's a lot to explore for now.
Bets wishes

Oh, and I *really* should preview, then I'd have a chance to write your name correctly and send you best wishes.

Hi Bel - I think you made the meet in London this weekend? If not I am getting confused about peoples' names, for which, please forgive me. I am sorry I have been so quiet for such a long time. I've been listening and learning about what has been going on, on the site and have been busy myself, some of that with h2g2 related stuff. Warm wishes R

Oh, how wonderful to hear from you.
Yes, I was at the meet, and it was marvellous.
I'm very happy to learn that you've been busy with h2g2 related stuff. We can certainly need all the help we can get if we want to have a future.
I hope one day you'll come to a meet (we intend to go on having them, no matter what ).
As always, there are photos, and I guess at some point we'll put the links on one page so that everybody can have a look.
We'll have some meet reports in the next , too.
It will be published here A84212246 next Monday.

Dear Bel, I will do my absolute best to be at the next meet and I am sure that there will indeed be many more. Great things are indeed afoot. Best Robbie
