Introductions seem funny to me...
When I found this site I ws reading about the latest film to come out on the Hitchhikers Guide. I read the books and saw the series so many years ago that I had thought it was lost in my memory banks somewhere. Even DR. Who novels now and then gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling but I couldn't exactly locate the source of the fuzzy.
Well, aha, here it is! I found the restaurant at the end of the universe again. Cheers!
So, a little about myself: I'm an assistant professor of ancient history in an American University where I am relatively happy. Academic bullshit wastes too much of my time, however the students I teach give me back what I really want to give them: a perspective for living. The world has for some time been f..ked up. So lets see how and when and why. Our world today is another version of what has been only we have bigger weapons and basically we are increasingly more mad, due to global cosiness.
I am divorced for the second time (rotton men), have a son of 30 years, and am so much happier to live a life free of bores and cry-babies. Lots of friends, mostly women who have shared interests and views.
Activities: I read voraciously and do a bit of writing along the lines of historical fiction. Love to travel, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Britain are certainly my favorites for cultural reasons, althought nothing beats the beach life of Mexico and the Caribbean for cooling out.
