"More popular than the Celestial Home Care Omnibus, better selling than than Fifty-three More Things to do in Zero Gravity, and more controversial than Oolon Colluphid's trilogy of philosophical blockbusters, Where God Went Wrong, Some More Of God's Greatest Mistakes and Who is this God Person Anyway?

In many of the more relaxed civilisations on the Outer Eastern Rim of the Galaxy, theHitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy has already supplanted the great Encyclopedia Galactica as the standard repository of all knowledge and wisdom, for though it contains much that is apocryphal, or at least wildly inaccurate, it scores over the older, more pedestrian work in three important respects."

First, it is slightly cheaper; second, it is on the Net; and thirdly, it has the wordsDon't Panic!

inscribed in large friendly letters on its cover (at least it did). As a huge fan of the Guide, it's really froody to be able to work for and contribute to that wholly remarkable book we all know and love.

In response to the recent sudden disappearence of the Don't Panic! button from our screens (a reference to which I am still unable to find in the books or radio series) I searchrd H2G2 for the actual 'Large Friendly Letters' that graced the cover of The Guide, and use them as a link instead of an actual 'button'. Something I was never too concerned about when we had the the button. So it was a good thing from my point of view.

At this point I would like to say thanks to the Voice of the book, a man who made me laugh so hard I cried, Mr Peter Jones and to the creator himself, Douglas DNA Adams.

I am a Lonesome Hobo...

Welcome to the humble home of Vaughan Prefect, Keeper of the CDs of HisBob-ness "The Zimmerman" Dylan.

Recently I have been appointed the Minister for Cheese Appreciation and Time Travel in President Peregrin's administration of The Alabaster House. It is a real honour and I intend to fulfill my duties as Minister to the very best of my abilities. If and when any duties become apparant, as at present I have no staff and an empty desk. Life is good.

I am a bartender by trade, though these days I spend longer propping them up in the name of research, running up vast bills on my Dine-O-Change researchers expense account than tending them. That is of course when I'm not busy doing very little at The Ministry. I am a researcher through and through and never let silly things like responsibility or commitments keep me away from the Guide. You can find out more about fascinating old me, here. Drinks, particularly cocktails are the name of the game and I know a fair few. But more of the bars and drinks to come later.

Visit The Font of Dylan Knowledge...

Unfamiliar with the Warrior Poet? Don't know what an Idiot Wind is? Unsure what these Visions of Johanna are? Are YOU a Rolling Stone, and never knew it? Well the times, they are a-changin'. You can follow the signs or just take the short cut and head out that way, down Highway 61!

Alternatively, you could always visit the Bob Dylan entry in the guide. ItÕs a little on the short side, but a good place to start.

A Word From Our Lord

"Ain't it just like the night to play tricks when you're trying to be so quiet."

Bob Dylan

Look, just remember....

Don't Panic!

This may seem a little odd at first, but believe me, it may well be the most sensible piece of advice you'll be given in your life and perhaps even after that too.
