You shouted for an angel????
Kes Posted Aug 15, 2000
Well, I was fairly good - as good men go - and they went ....
Well behaved, I mean, not necessarily "good" in the sense that might be implied.
Not that I'm saying I'm not ...
Oh hell. Dug another deep hole for myself.
REWIND.
Good morning, Arch. (Angel sounded better - I have to say ...)
Advice and assistance needed - perhaps with your Marshall's hat on.
Survivors ends 17:00 GMT Friday, when I've no chance of being on-line - I'm going to log off about 10 hours previous.
Damn! (Sorry, your Arch-ship ... it just slipped out)
Any ideas on how I could contribute to the fun?
At one extreme I could spend days writing words to cover all eventualities (except what actually happens) for someone else (Guess Who!! ) to post.
At the other extreme, could I sub-contract to someone? Who?
Doing nothing for the last ten hours seems a bit of a fizzer ....
All suggestions welcome.

oh dear... what can we do? (and I think I prefer Angel from you ) right. give me time to think and I'll get back to you on that one... some angelic intervension may be required... *goes off to her private line with God... returns shortly* we'll see how things go. I've a few strings to pull first....
anyway...
I'm glad you've gone to get your wings... it will be nice having you as one of the fold... you'll do well in the post, that i'm sure of.
and tell me all about that Mozart you spoke about. how was it?

Thanks Angel, I'm sure you'll manage something.
I will indeed tell you about last night's Mozart event. It was mind-blowing.
But if it's OK with you, I'll tell you a bit later, when things are "dead" on-line.
I'm going to check the island now.

What Chinese proverb preceded the midnight swim?
"Be careful what you wish for - in case your wish is granted".
Must remember that. I wished for "dead" on-line; I got it.
Only 13 lonely souls - none of them islanders.
Never mind, Lacking distractions, I have:
a) found the crab, and let him warm up on that I Ching idea. (Hope you don't mind - I gave the crab your lines - he has become a most useful little device!)
b) started on a couple more poems for Crab - proper ones this time. (So far, only Gal. Babe has commented on the Gibran and James Joyce "spoofs" that Crab delivered yesterday)
c) written up notes on last night's Mozart seminar as a Journal entry - so check out my home page for that. (It was something I really enjoyed. Two of the things I like best (music and logical analysis) in the same package).
Now I either:
i) do some real w*ork,
ii) stir up the island a bit
iii) get moving with my Baroque Music project.
I think reverse order sounds about right.
See you soon, Angel.

I re-read the last day's postings - ended up laughing out loud several times. Fortunately the office was empty. Something clicked - even the simulposts were hilarious.
I suggest you try it (time permitting)
See you around

Another fair day on the island so far. Don't know how it will look in the ratings:
No violence, no sex, and no crab!
Any update on plans for Friday?
I'm not nervous, you understand, it's just that I'm 8 hours nearer to Friday than you are
I've started on an Angel intro piece. At the moment, it's sounding like whoever runs the ceremony talking to a group of new applicants. Is that appropriate? Would you like a preview?
I'll put the last crab poem (from yesterday) into the entry - hope you approve.
Good morning, Angel.

Thanks for flitting around the island a bit - it gives me something to work with.
Deathly quiet now - I'm "working" Kes, Peaceful, GB, ddgb, Kiddo & Lintilla - feel more like a puppet master than an actor at the moment!
If it stays this quiet, the poetic crab will stage a comeback.
(Cries of EEek! No! Not that! from the audience).
Right - got to keep the island up in the ratings - specially on the last day.
Time to push the envelope, sail close to the wind, etc. etc.
See you on the other side.

Greetings, Angel,
Good morning - if you check this before you go to work; otherwise:
Good evening,
Life after Survivors? What a frightening thought!
So far, the said life is less hectic, so I can tie up a few loose ends.
Loose end 1): Never did like loose ends, so I looked for every one I could find in "the anorak" 's life, and defined them. Check out GB's "Aftermath" - I've done a 10-posting "epilogue" there.
Loose end 2): I'd like to give you a huge "thank you" for persuading me to join Survivors. I had my doubts about it, but it turned out to be really great. I'm amazed at how well a selection of total strangers managed to improvise so consistently for three weeks, and I'm unreservedly glad to have been part of it. Next time I exhibit cold feet for anything you suggest - just remind me about Survivors.
Loose end 3): Another "thank you" - for suggesting that I might turn Angelic. I will start to find my way around, but I would appreciate any hints and tips you have to offer.
Better go and do some w*rk now
BCNU

hehe... I knew it would be a laugh, and glad I got into it... hell, it could have gone either way, it went the right way, much of which i think is owed to you and C...

hehe... ok, I'll get the halo back on in a minute, but I'm so pleased you signed up too... you'll be great, and a can possibly see you going rather the same way as i did.... and the wings look fabulous darling!
Sleep well you.... The angel within me will be round in a minute or so..

Hi Angel,
So glad you're back. In reply to your "hope", a couple of people have tried (one is still trying), but your place is assured. Rollerblades! Well, I suppose that has more style than falling off a pavement! Good job you've got wings
