Yup, finally gave in and registered there. And you know what? This time around they asked for far less details about my RL than the first time I ever tried to register.
The 'photo' will probably give you a clue, but I'm still a bit confused of some about some of the 'friends' that Facebook is suggesting to me - I'm supposed to know all my internet weirdos' RL names?
My 'photo':

(but just a small piece of it)

Oh sure - I identified all just like that
And I probably shouldn't try to write Sweidsh - even if I speak it sort of passably. Enough to make Swedes think Danish is quite easy to understand, anyway...

I should be fairly easy to figure out
Technical difficulties at the company's end, so I can legitimately pop over there to see if I've a friend request waiting

That was me teasing Marv about how quickly we each identified you.

I have to admit that I'm on FB a lot.
The only thing I fear is that moving there is getting to be a problem for hootoo...
What do you think?
I'm happy to have been found by many already though!

It's annoying that FB's so snooty about the names it accepts. It's only thanks that we have eminent musicians such as Mr Ice T that I'm able to choose a name that's recognisable.
Santragenius V Posted Apr 15, 2010
I find myself doing rather different things on FB and here. No Atelier-style (or quality!) conversations on FB...
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Apr 15, 2010
Well, I usually access h2g2 from w*rk. Accessing bbc is no problem, but Facebook is banned by our IT department, so I'll only have access to it from home - where I'm usually busy playing WoW when I'm online.
So I'll still be online on h2g2 quite a lot, and not so much on Facebook.
Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~ Posted Apr 15, 2010
Most days I don't have time for anything but w*rk when I'm at w*rk, but I check both hootoo, facebook and personal emails on a daily basis from home
and it's all so very different that I have not neglected hootoo because of FB so Ti

I still do not do facebook.
I got roped and hooked into twitter because the owner/operator of IYT (itsyourturn.com) sent news he'd opened an account with them and would be posting downtimes, etc. there. Don't do myspace, either.
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Dec 6, 2010
I've pretty much given up on FB to be honest - way too much info presented in a way too unorganised way. Can't be bothered to waste time on tweaking the settings to change the basic default ones.

That's me and the "new twitter" ... I stick with the old simple one. I'm there sporadically: I'll post often for a while, then I'll forget about it for a while. Then again, my livejournal accounts have year-or-so gaps. *ahem* And there's that blue place I visit from time to time.
