You are a well travelled bunch, especially Titania.
In terms of size, a lot of the individual states of the US are bigger than most of the countries I have visited.
I haven't been anywhere more than a 4 hour flight away from Blighty - Scotland, England, Wales, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Sardinia, Spain, Iceland
I don't think Wales even counts - since it's a principality.
And Scotland and England don't really count either, since I lived there.
* slinks off, feeling a tad parochial

So, if I were to live in Mexico for a year, I could no longer count it as a place I've visited? I don't think that's fair. If it's a country where you don't currently live, I think you get to count it.

Whoa, that's pretty cool. Heh ... I don't think I've really traveled much (from New Englans) at all. I mean ... I used to live in Massachusetts (spelling is for those who live there now), now I live in New Hampshire, my maternal grandfather's in Colorado and my paternal grandmother's in New Jersey, but that's about it.

Missouri is only the 21st largest state at 69,704 square miles. It has an irregular shape but is approximately 300 miles long X 240 miles wide.
Missouri is not larger than the UK, but it is larger than any of it's component countries. It is alo larger than:
Albania
Andorra
Armenia
Austria
Azerbaijan
Bahrain
Bangladesh
Belgium
Belize
Benin
Bhutan
Bosnia & Herzegovina
Bulgaria
Burundi
Costa Rica
Croatia
Czech Republic
Denmark
Djibouti
El Salvador
Eritrea
Estonia
Gambia
Georgia
Greece
Guatemala
Guinea-Bissau
Honduras
Hungary
Iceland
Treland
Israel
Jordan
North Korea
South Korea
Kuwait
Latvia
Lebanon
Lesotho
Liberia
Liechtenstein
Luxembourg
Macedonia
Malawi
Moldova
Monaco
Nepal
Netherlands
Nicaragua
Pananma
Portugal
Qatar
Rwanda
Serbia & Montenegro
Sierra Leone
Slovakia
Sri Lanka
Suriname
Swaziland
Switzerland
Tajikistan
Togo
Tunisia
United Arab Emirates
Uruguay
and most islands.
Missouri is smaller than Kansas, where Lady C lives; New Mexico, where Lil lives; Arizona, where Irv lives; Utah, where Marv and GDZ live; Montana, where FG lives; California, of course which is huge and where MR, SC and Amy P live; Texas, naturally, where Gosho and Count Zero live. We are larger than OHIO, where the vice president lives.

Ohio is an undisclosed location?

Hypatia Posted Sep 10, 2007
The vice president would like for the town where he lives to be undisclosed, but Ohio itself is fairly easy to find. Irv, do you know the vice president? I'm not sure he was around when you, were back in the old days.

Ah, appaerntly not. I was thinking you were talking about the U.S. Vice President.
Funny story, occasionally I post under the name "Dick Cheney" on the message boards for the webcomic PVP.

My international list is rather short:
Aruba
Bermuda
Canada
France
England
Netherlands
Saint Martin/San Martin
Scotland
More states, but not nearly many. It is easy to visit a bunch on the eastern seaboard because they are so much smaller in area than the western states.
New Jersey (home)
Maine
Vermont
New Hampshire
Connecticut
Rhode Island
Massachusetts
New York
Pennsylvania
Maryland
Delaware
Virginia
Washington DC (technically not a state)
North Carolina
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida
California
Hawaii
Texas
Thanks for reminding me, Ti. I need to come up with a coat of arms as well.

... I think. As company travel is a wee bit cheating, I've *'ed the ones I've been to on private trips.
I've certainly not seen all of the US, but a drive from Milwaukee to Spokane, WA did introduce us to quite some of it. 4200 km of it, actually
One place in North America I still have high on my list is British Columbia - and of course there's the Ozarks
Dame Titania the Traveller, Queen of Elves, Knight Extraordinaire of the Atelier
Hypatia Posted Sep 10, 2007
Of course every discerning traveler has the Ozarks on the must see list.
That's a heck of a lot of countries, Santra.
