Hi Mostly,
I'm getting in early with my messages today I expect a big job that will probably take me till midnight, so if I finish before then, I might be able to log on and say hello .
I had a great weekend very relaxing. I hope your kids are getting better and not giving you and no.1 wife too much worry.
I look at mundane jobs like painting, cleaning vacuuming as great opportunities to let my mind wander, there is no telling the mirriod of places you can let your mind go when you don't have to think about what you are doing, and look at is as an opportunity to think about some things that I consider to be luxury thinking. Good for writing poems or telling stories, or planning delectable adventures.
I have been working on my page a bit, I found a ancient history site that has some great visual and sound effects that people are giving away, which is good cause I don't want to pay. But theirs is in HTML and my things on here are in GuideML and at the moment I can only adapt very simple things. But I found someone with music, and they have some Celtic music that I would like. I just have to work out how to put it on here.
Anyway I'll see ya around
with lots of huggs and kisses and wishing your babies better quickly
Love Moondancer

Hi Mostly,
I am still trying to sell my business, we had the people who are looking in on Friday evening to look at profit and loss sheets. Drowning in red ink, but we are selling the business as what it can do not what it is doing, the couple are still very interested. They are a young and very enthusiastic couple and should do well.
My youngest son Andrew once wanted his bedroom painted black, we talked him out of black but he settled for red enamel (fire engine red). We were hardly out of the room before chips were coming of it. He kept it for about 8 years until he decided to change it himself. By then he was 20 and a cabinetmaker so we felt he could do the job him self and that way we did not have to worry about getting all that red enamel off. It was a mammoth job. But he is not the sought of boy that you say not to it is easier to just give in.
Have a good night sleep and give my love to all the family

Hi Moondancer,
My 3 year old was looking at a paint color palette and said that he wanted his room to be black. We told him that when he was old enough to paint it himself that he could paint it balck, then he could paint it back to a more reasonable color.
I have a lot more painting to do, our bedroom and the master bath, the hallway, den, kitchen, the study, and the whole outside. I don't mind painting, it's relaxing and it's something I don't have to put a lot of thought in to. I'm just taking one room at a time, deciding how I want it to look and then making the plan, get the supplies, and set aside the time to do it. It's therapy.
XXXX OOOO to you and yours,

Hi Mostly,
Something I have learned in my many many many years bringing up children is that you should use the emphatic NO!! as little as possible. Even a 3 yr old you have to be easeed around to your way of thinking.
I think colour in a bedroom has an effect of people, although we talked my son into red, and it did look very nice, I felt it contributed to him being an angry young man. I think the black would have been worse.
But then it might be that I did not matter what colour he had in his bedroom he was going to be an obnoxious person all his teenage years any way. It will be great when they are reared.
I'm not worrying any more, I am going to rent my house, get in my vehicle and head north. Let then worry about us and how much fun we are having . Good role reversal.
I had better get some work done. See ya around,
kisses and cuddles to all

Hi Moondancer,
Heading north, huh. Sounds like a good idea to me. As soon as we get the youngest in college, wife #1 and I are going to get a little convertable sports car and travel. (Assuming we still have any money after having two in college.) Maybe we'll get a Shelby Cobra or corvette or maybe a german car.
The three year old is a good kid, he just a bit emolational. But, what three year olds aren't. He may be the creative type.

Hi Mostly,
I have had a very busy couple of days, with a lot of pressure, but things are finished now.
I had my mother and sister with me since Wednesday also, so I was distracted as well, but it was good fun too.
We went to a camping show on Sunday and it was very interesting, looking at all the different things to use and places to go, we collected a lot of things to help with the planning.
My sister, who knows what she is talking about, said we have to go to Flinders Rangers first, that is to the west not to the north, until we get to know what we are doing, and then we need to take the well warn track to The Rock, so that is what we will do.
I have to go now see you tomorrow
huggs and kisses to everyone

Hi Moondancer,
I'm on a conference call right now, so be very, very, quite. Hard at work as you can see.
Yaaa! You finished your big job. I'm sure you did a great job. Give Mom and Sis a big huge and kiss from me.
I love going to outdoor shows. Our shows usually have a little bit of everything outdoors, hunting, fishing, water ski-ing, camping, repelling, caving, ....
Have a good time on your trip to the rock. (Here in the states, "The Rock" refers to Alcertraz, sp?? an old maximum security prison. It's on an island in the middle of San Francisco bay.)

Hi Mostly,
Our rock is called Uluru, it use to be called Ayres Rock until it was handed back to the original inhabitants. They considered it to be a sacred site, which is reasonable if you have a bloody great monolith in the middle of a flat sandy desert, then of course you would make it a sacred site. Some tourists still walk on it but i would not walk on it, it is sacred ground and the aborigines don't want it walked on. But it is called the well warn track because every one who travels in Outback Australia goes there. And there really is only one road up through the centre, north/south, and if you don't go off it you don't get into trouble.
It was a very good outdoor show, with 4 wheel drives and offroad campers, as well as the equipment you need to take. They had fishing gear and boats but we were not interested in that, don't need a boat and if we go fishing it will be for dinner and we had better catch it so we may as well have a net. Although up there is there are fish in the rivers there are crocodiles. Keep the toes out of the water.
I have been busy the last couple of days and I have more work come in today, so that is good and I had better get stuck into it now. So i will see you later.
Huggs and kisses to you and your family.

Hi Moondancer,
Sounds like your business is picking up. Did you find a 4x4 and a camper that you liked?
I've took Thursday and Friday off, played with the kids and did some stuff around the house. (I'm so tried) It's good to be back at work so I can get some rest.
When you go on your trip make sure you note the best spots so when I come to Australia I'll know where to visit.

Hi Mostly,
I'm glad you had a good time with your children, they are young for such a short time. We have a holiday coming up on Tuesday. It is Melbourne Cup day, the horse race that stops a nation . Most of us just think it is a goods idea to have a day off.
We have to decide what accommodation we want to be pulling before we decide on a 4x4, we will get a second hand one because it wrecks the new ones. Something built to go over rough ground but comfortable enough to take us 10,000 k.
Also we have to be careful where we go because I can't take my dog every where. I can't take her into national parks. So those places we will do after she isn't with us any more.
We went home on Saturday afternoon and found our son Andrew, and 3 of his girlfriends and a mate were doing the gardening and washing the car and cleaning the house, we were amazed, and very impressed. At the moment Andrew has the three ladies viewing for his attention and doing very well . He is quite a happy boy now, As long as it keeps the household pleasant to live in I don't mind. They are nearly all over 21. hahaha you have got this to look forward to
Give huggs and kisses to everyone for me

Hi Moondancer,
Tuesday, October 31, is Halloween over here. Halloween is a day of the dead, a day set aside to remember those who died. It has become a day to dress up in spooky costumes, have parties, tell ghost stories, and go trick or treating. Great fun. I will assume that you do not celebrate Halloween since you did not mention it.
Yea, we dread the day that my little boy grows up. He is very good looking, and that is not just my opinion, I have had a lot of strangers tell me how good looking he is. Wife no. 1 was out shopping with him and two teen age girls past him they turn and said to each other "did you see how good looking that baby was?"
He will have to have a revolving door on his apartment. I don't want to even think about my little girl.
Well back to work. Some of the employees have dressed up in costumes, we have death (aka the grim reaper), cowboys, and some others.
BIG HUG, BIG KISS

Hi Mostly,
Yes I am still here, and I am very sorry that I have not got back to you earlier.
I am just about pulling my hair out with frustration and irritation. We had a new tax system implemented on the 1st July and it has to be pays 3 monthly, but we have 6 weeks to pay it. Well the 6 weeks are up on the 11th and we still have not got it all worked out and correct yet.
As well as that we are still working on selling, if these people don’t come back with a positive answer by Wednesday we will advertise again. So please excuse me for a little while I am not the easiest person to get along with at the moment.
So how are you and your beautiful babies and No1 wife going did you have a good weekend? Is your whether starting to get cooler, our days are starting to shine and the evenings are warn and pleasant.
I love it when summer comes back
Give my love to all and huggs and kisses all around.
and I will see you again soon

Oh I forgot to mention, you remember I said my son Andrew whipper snipped around the house, well the little darling whipper snipped the fernery, bringing it down to ground level. He even did some pots cutting them off level, I thought his father was bad with the mower, but I didn't growl at him he might not do it again. The ferns will grow back.

Hi Moondancer,
It's election day. Today we go and vote for the next President, congress members, and a host of local offices. I'm so sick of hearing of the campaigning I could just barf.
Wife #1 and the kids are fine now, the littlest one had a 24 hour bug and didn't feel good.
Yes, Fall is here, The leaves are changing colors and starting to fall off the trees. It's very pretty. To nights are getting cool, we had to turn the heat on, at least at night.
Nothing like a govermnent to take something simple and screw it up so no one can understand it. It is nice to know that our govermnent isn't the only one that likes to screw things up. Sorry. I hope you sell your business soon, so you can get back to planning you trip.
Hugs and Kisses

Hi Mostly,
Sorry to hear about the kids, it really takes it out of everyone when they get sick. You don't know if having them both sick at the same time is better or worse. When my Andrew was little and he had a chest cold I would rubb Vicks (eucalyptus in petroleum gelly I think it is) on his chest, and when I would try to rubb it in he would wrap his arms and legs around my arm and I would not be able to move my hand and he would be laughing so much. He was just sooo ticklish. Hahahahaah
I can understand what you are saying about the election, we are getting a lot of it over here. I am a strong believer in someone else's politics is their own business, and I don't think we need the blow by blow account of your election campaigns. Thank goodness we had our horse race yesterday to put something else on the front pages of our papers . It was won by a New Zealand horse by the way, which is rather normal. They have greener grasses and they grow faster horses. I have not even looked to see what Loonytoons has to say on the subject.
When I think if North Carolina I imagine the trees with the white motley bark, I think they are called poplars, I'm not sure about that. We have them we have them on the banks of the rivers up around Bruthen way, which is where my father was born and died. And in the autumn they turn a golden yellow, and have a lovely rustling sound.
Yes this tax is incredible, we have to add 10% on everything we sell and send it to the tax department every 1/4 and pay 10% on everything we buy and get a rebate. The bookwork is horrendous, and every business we are told will be audited every 13 months. They will have the personnel to do it because they are not doing any tax collecting we are doing it for them.
Give every one a kiss and cuddle for me and try some eucalyptus oil on the pillow when the babies are sick, it usually helps

Hi Moondancer,
Well, our election has turned out to be more exciting than I expected. Very close, Florida the election was so close, less that .5% difference, that it triggered an automatic recount.
We are hearing on the news that the some of the world leaders are worried about a vacuum is our leadership because of the election dragging on. There's no vacuum, Pres. Clinton is still the president and will be until January 2001. Bush and Gore already have their cabinet members picked and ready to go. It won't take long to get everyone into place. We are not worried, As long as it gets resolved by Dec.
My little girl is feeling much better; it was just a 24-hour bug.
It sounds like you had fun with the horse race. Did you watch it?
Yes, poplars and birch have that whitish bark and ash is also very pretty.
Steve Irwin (aka The Croc Hunter) is doing Fed Ex commercials. He's holding a deadly snake with bites him. He looks into the camera and says "no worries, we had the anti-venom sent from America by Fed Ex."
Some one comes in from the side and whispers in his ear. Steve then says that they used a different currier and the anti-venom hasn't arrived. He then drops over dead.
Well I got to get back to work,
Mostly
