If you're doing the haiku/anagram thing...
swl Posted Oct 14, 2007
I sometimes wonder if being confused about the poster isn't sometimes a good thing. I think we lapse into labelling posters and sometimes read a subtext into a post that may not actually be there.

I think you could be right ..... whoever you are.
When we don't know who we're speaking to we don't know all the baggage they carry.....

I think you're quite right there. I think we're all guilty of responding to the poster rather than the posting sometimes.

I don't think that'll make any difference to me. I don't *do* subtext and no-one knows who I am anyway. I think I'll have a crack at the haiku anyway. But just for the day. I wouldn't like to go around dressed as a ninja* or whatever for three weeks.
*I would really, but it's not acceptable.

If you dress enough like a ninja, nobody will ever know...
What's a chimney queen? Roymondo mentioned it some while back & I've an uneasy feeling I'd rather not know...

heh heh...
I have tried to leave a clue as to my real identity in my Haiku. I always find this sort of thing fun for a bit and then annoying.

I have no idea what a chimney queen is! And I'm not re-reading this thread to find out is it's yet *another* drunken ranty one.

You said Santa is probably one.
Sorry about the haiku, but you can probably tell it's still me...

No need to apologise: it was another in my recent flourish of drunken rants.
Santa? Crikey.

Yah dude, you did! You called a chimney queen.
Looked up this delightful term on urbandictionary.com but there was no definition.
I like this expression. Evocative.

I think the definition might have to be added!
As an aside: Civil Service office based work can be really rather dull you know.

The thing is, they are monitoring our every e-move, so if I'm supposed to be working, & there's bog-all to do, I'm not allowed to prop up my flagging interest on t'internet for fear of a smiting.
Fair enough I suppose, and there are precious few occasions lately where the workload has slackened to a pace where boredom gets a look in.
Actually, to be accurate, I'm bored most of the time. I'm just too busy to actually notice.
In the words of Tenacious D, the government totally sucks...

Similar boat here: dull, dull, dull, but lots of it. I don;t think our monitoring is quite so hot, but we can't take liberties.

Come on Roy, you know you want an anagram really.... join us.... join us....

There aren't that many! I was Moody Ron last year, but now I've got a mid flounce/lurking account by that name.
Mod Roony sucks.
Rod Moony has more potential.
But I can't back down now!
Actually, it's not so much the anagrams as the Haikus: I've so far managed to avoid finding out what a Haiku is and, with them being a zeitgeisr=ty thing, want to keep it that way!
That and the fact that I can't think of one...

You have been backed into a corner.
Obvious exits are North, South and Dennis.
What shall you do?
