Having spent too much of the weekend playing Star Wars: BattlefrontII, and getting right into the atmosphere of the thing, I decided I should watch Eps I, II & III.
I saw EPI a few years back and was unimpressed.
I saw EPII at a cineam in Canterbury after several lagers and, while I enjoyed joining the rest of the attendees in a mighty cheer when Yoda got a glint in his eye and started kicking butt, I was underwhelmed.
I hadn't seen EPIII.
Last night I watched them consecutively and, guess what, they're blinkin' marvellous. They build nicely and the first 'Vader gasp' is quite a moment!
If anyone wants me I'll be in the corner playing with my lightsaber.
Vroosh, vroosh.
I've rekindled my love of Star Wars.

It was a chuffin good series, I had, still got, the first pc game version, I became quite an ace at flying them thar spaceships!! Sadly as it's win95, it does'nt run on XP and they did'nt do an upgrade for the first one.
All good fun and escapism.

I bought a PS II at the weekend and opted for ST:BF II as my first game, and it's well rockin'!
I'm glad it made me watch the films again. I'm watching EPIII even as we type (with the occasional excursion to the ROCK track at the top of this page, which I really should have done properly).
Vroosh, swich, clank-clank, vroosh.

I must say, some of this dialogue (in Revenge Of The Sith) is rather clunky!

Ah, well there's no dialogue as such in Lego malarky, you juts have to remember what was said (or relay it to the younger ones) Highly reccomended indeed. A bit child-like, but then not

I *nearly* bought it yesterday, but bought EPI-III of the films instead (hence last night's mammoth viewing session!)
Ooh! Obi Wan's about to have the big'n with the soon to be helmeted one!

Cutting between Vader v Kenobi & The Emperor v Yoda is quite an inspired move. Top stuff (and great soundtrack, as per...)
Re: VHS copies. You could make a model of a Borg Cube out of 'em, just for the unfettered geekiness of the whole deal.

I think I've only watched one of the new films, maybe two, but definitely not more.

They definitely get better towards the end - the last one's a right rip-roaring Jedi fest. Glorious.

Ooh 'eck, that's not too great! If you've any interest you really should see the other two - they're much better.

Now...where to put the borg cube?

I've been spending far too long on Lego Star Wars II. Best bits include blowing up the Death Star in Return of the Jedi!
