What? I'm doing that list of my previous titles thing again, when I type a posting title.
Was going to type Q, but ran into Quasi. Quasar. Quantum. so thought I'd leave them. haha.
Quite good for a Star Trek consideration.
Ah, right! This explains why I hadn't heard of Q. heheh. Thanks paul!
I never saw the next generation Star Trek. Did Q appear in other episodes, or just the pilot? I'll check him out.

Q did appear in a few more episodes, and he was his delightfully quirky self every time. I expect that Q stood for "Quirky," 'cause he was all of that.
Sir Darrell's Road Trip/Alternative Middle Bit
cactuscafe Posted Jul 11, 2020
I like Sir Darrell's roadtrip. It is very peculiar.
One day The Hotel Saint Christopher will appear as a mirage on the shimmering horizon.
Until then, I travel onward.
Sir Darrell and Phred Firecloud said they'd join me soon. They're involved with guiding someone out of a sticky situation. This someone was driving a tractor, made of unreliable dream technology, and got stuck in a muddy gateway, en route to the next bit of the dream.
I have, however, just visited the beach where the question marks landed. I'm enjoying my journey.
Apparently, years ago, hundreds of question marks were seen hovering over an area of indecision, about five miles to the north.
About fifty question marks strayed, and landed on the beach. Having landed, they evaporated into thin air, leaving nothing but spirally patterns in the shingle, and possible answers.
Except no one knew what the question was, so the possible answers made no sense and were washed away with the tide.
The spirally patterns remained for a while.
I think this could be incredibly deep and symbolic imagery, although in this case, it isn't. Its just the effect of Sir Darrell's road trip. I like typing peculiar things, then wondering why, although some say I have no life. Life! Life! I have a life!
And now I must sleep ...

Hovering question marks are not to be taken lightly...

"Q" is used as a name by an amazing number of real people, fictional characters, business entities, etc....I don't think I remember the Q character in Star Terk, but I haven't watched it for decades...I liked Shattner in "Boston Legal". His commercials are good too.

That was a bad link but anybody can search "Q" on Wiki, it's not that interesting anyway...

This shows how out of date I am. I thought Q was a character in James Bond. The technical genius who designed the gadgets.
Hovering question marks
cactuscafe Posted Jul 13, 2020
Indeed, paul! Interesting. Not to be taken lightly.
Especially if they land on one's head. They can be heavy. One must protect the psyche from heavy questions.

I am now considering the disambiguated Qs.
Firstly, I have to find out what disambiguation means, then I will journey further into the Q question, via James Bond, Star Trek, and possible other places where a Q might lurk.
As one does. At 7am on a bright summer's morning.
I prefer researching Q to standing in a queue. Trade the Q for a queue.
Ah yes, all part of Sir Darrell's Roadtrip.
Sir Darrell's Roadtrip is now the name I give to my entire stream of consciousness.
What???
Hullo mvp! How's things with you these days?!

We need to get gas and 10 rolls of quarters at the truck stop. We can make Roswell before dawn tomorrow if we share the driving.
The comet Neowise will be visible as a first magnitude object just before dawn in the Northeast. We could camp at Bottomless Lake. The light pollution is negligible out in the desert. The Milky Way fills the sky.
This is the first bright comet since Hale Bopp 25 years ago. That was when Heaven's gate group gathered their quarters hoping to pay for a ride on Hale Bopp's companion extraterrestrial spacecraft
You can get cool stuff in Tras truck stops. It's where I got my collection of Southern Comfort Elvis head bottles.

As gamebirds go, exceptionally musical .
I'll tolerate the slight amount of damage they do, for example if a pair wants to clear one of my giant flower pots to create a wind sheltered nesting area.

Hi, CC.
I've been watching sparrows. For a while they were dust bathing in one of our borders. I'd see what looked like earth moving and realise it was a sparrow, hollowing out a little space in the border. It's supposed to help them get rid of parasites but it did look as if they were having fun.
Now they're eating the seeds from the yellow daisy-type flowers (hawkbit?) on the front lawn. I'm opting for a wild-flower meadow rather than a neat lawn.

We've had rain on a regular basis this Summer. The vegetation-eating wildlife has been well-fed, just by eating the grass. This means the local geese, bunnies, woodchucks , and probably some others that I haven't noticed.

There have been lots of flowers here - my roses and clematis have done well and there are lots of flowers on the blackberry bushes.
I'm hoping to make blackberry and apple jam!
