Just thought I'd pop by to say hello and invite you to have a look at my h2g2 friends photo gallery - and also invite you to join us there if you'd like to.

Meawhile, quite agree with you about the LOTR films - I also thought the 'scouring of the shire' should have been included.
Also agree with you about the Matrix trilogy. The first one was fab, the second totally dire and you are lucky you never saw the third one.
Anyhow, maybe see you in the photo gallery?

Hi!
Very nice of you to drop by, and very nice of you to invite me. I'll try to find a photo which is not too scary, although that will be a rather hard job to do. (I don't like photos of myself)
I'll search for one, but maybe it takes some time.
Why did they have to make a 2nd and 3rd Matrix film? I thought the 1st had a rather good end, just: now the fight begins. That's a nice end and fits in the whole mood of the film.

Um, for the mega-bucks they earned from them? I cringed all the way through the second and third films - they were just SO BAD.
Meanwhile, EVERYONE says they don't have photos that aren't scary! Yet, when checking out the gallery everyone looks very lovely - well, with the exception of Gosho's photo, which he made scary on purpose.
Well, just send in a photo anytime. And meanwhile, you can pop into the thread - total drift thread. Lots of nice people there talking about whatever they feel like talking about . . .

Ok, I know that it's all about the money. But still...
I saw it with a friend and the whole time we were giving each other looks like "please let it be over soon!" I know only one person who liked these films... bad enough.
Especially the thing about Neo and Trinity was boring and for me they just are no good couple.
I'm just looking at the pictures in your gallary. It's great!

Yes, it's nice being able to put a face to the name, isn't it? I was actually surprised that so many people wanted to be in it - at first I thought that on an internet forum people would want to remain 'visually anonymous'. Then again, h2g2 isn't your typical forum - more of a community. So I think people like seeing their friends as well.

Yes, it's nice and sometimes surprising!
When did you start making this gallery?
I never thought I whould be part of an internet forum, I'm usually not a person who joins anything. But h2g2 is wonderful!

Well, in fact the first anniversary of the photo gallery will be on May 12. I got the idea after talking to a couple other hootoo friends about the photos I'd collected of people here by email - so I decided to start the photo gallery with those photos (asking their permission first, of course) and it just really took off.

Well, quite a few people have mistaken me for a man here! But mostly when people have sent in their photos my reaction has been - 'hey, it looks just like you!'
I'd also never been on any sort of internet forum before joining h2g2 and it's been a very lovely experience. In fact, I met my 'heart's desire' here, who is now living with me.
Anyhow, glad to see you are making yourself at home.

back from dinner...
It's often hard to tell whether people here are men or women. Just to make it clear now: I am a woman too. But maybe you've guessed that already.
<<'hey, it looks just like you!'>>, yes, I thought that too some times, although most of you seem to be older than me.
Yes, I make myself at home, but I fear that I spend too much time online already. But I do some drawing for uni too, so it's ok I think. And I've managed about 10 pictures today, that's more than I thought I could do. That's also the reason why I need some time for my replies.

Well, that would probably be because we are?
In any case, it's quite hard not to be older than twenty!

Sorry, I probably wrote it different than I wanted to. Of course it's easy to be older than 20, and I know that. Sorry, I didn't mean it that way.

I was just teasing you. I am very happily 48 (beats the alternative). Also used to be 20!
Anyhow, never fear. It's probably quite true that a lot of the people in the photo gallery are *oldies* (over 30!), though if you look around a bit you'll find quite a few younger people too. 269 photos so far, so might take a bit of looking around. . .

I even know 3 people here who are younger than me, I've got no idea how old exactely. They at least used to be here for some time, I don't know what has become of them... And I know Neil, who's 20 too.
But I didn't really have much contact with other people so far. Although as I said I've sent messages to a few.
