Sho - employed again! Started conversation Aug 21, 2012
this place, I mean.
I got hacked off not that long ago due to an overreaction by someone (not the first time) and overreacted myself by flouncing (which reminds me, I'd better write something on my PS)
I came back, and now I'm at the point where the general unfriendliness and sneering and tone in some convos makes me want to go again.
and that hacks me off - I've been here a flippin' long time, and while I haven't written that many solo entries, I'm credited in a fair few collaborative jobbies and comment sporadically in PR. So I'm not just a hanger on (although that is exactly what I have been for the past few years)
Heck, I even go to meets.
And now idiots are making me uncomfortable again. Either by willfully misunderstanding the point of a convo (or worse: being too stupid to understand what the actual conversation is about) or sneering.
GACK!

I'm sorry to hear that. Please, please report all misbehavior' to the mods. If nobody reports anything they can't know what happened.

it's not misbehaviour - it's a general deterioration in attitude and, dare I say it, intelligence...

Yes, what B said.
There are some people's posts I just don't read now. Not great, but it's a survival technique, because there are still intelligent and entertaining comments being made, and I don't want to miss them.

Indeed - it looks like most of the old hands are leaving, and it's now just petty bickering...

Then again, I've seen waves of disaffection like this periodically come and go, ever since I've been on hootoo. Usually they blow over. But while they last they don't exactly inspire new blood (or indeed motivate old hands)...

that may not be much of a comfort but I'm afraid it's the best I can do

Could everybody who is implying I'm an idiot please state so explicitly so that I can report them to the mods?
