So, did you write that essay already? How many words have you written already?
(Sorry, I allowed myself a little freedom in the wording.)

So... hows the word count going on the newsletter and the essay?

I have nearly 7,300 words of badly written technical text left to translate until Tuesday, from and into two languages of which I am not a native speaker, and in somewhat unfamiliar flavours at that.
So I just spent half an hour adding to my brush pile outside and tossing around some flying sticks that always magically ended up right in my hand again. I think i am going to clean the kitchen sink next, it's been a while...

I've written it, but have nothing to format it in because buying the new car means I now can't afford the DTP I want for another week or two.

500 words and fading fast. I just can't get my heart into it
I'm having terrible time concentrating on anything at the moment and I really think it's abnormal at this stage.

900 words about how identy changes as our circumstances change.
Floundering badly and it's quite clear now that although I previously thought that I had coasted through the last course and the first part of this, I was obviously working pretty hard and getting good grades because of it.
Luckily this essay is one that can be substituted and I got a good grade for the last one so it's not all as bleak as I'm making it out to myself.
But oh my - when is my brain going to start to be in a position to retain and evaluate information?
Thanks all!

That sounds quite fascinating. The sort of thing The Slacktiverse would love to publish. Or perhaps The Post?
How's it going?

500/900 is more than half, surely? But the hard part is to come. I can't begin to work out how identity changes in circumstances. Except if you're a woman and get married and choose to change your name.
Or am I misunderstanding identity or simply taking it too literally? Or is identy something else?
