Sho - employed again!

Gawd I hope that the washing machine comes soon. Preferably this week because I'm off and getting more time off will be a pain in the neck.

But we've been out for our first ride - into town for ice-cream, and the new bike is 'fab and marvy'

smiley - cool Things looking sunnier now?

I hope the washing machine comes soon - using the bath-tub's a nightmare. So if it comes to it, use the Steinbeck method: Put the washing, detergent and water in a big plastic bin. Seal it securely, throw it in the boot, and drive around bumpy country lanes until it's clean. smiley - magic

well... we'll see if I have to raid their savings accounts for food later this month...

And, the best thing is: got a call at 7:03 this morning (that's not the good thing, that annoyed the heck out of me) to say the machine will be delivered tomorrow between 12:00 and 19:00

woo hoo

Of course, I'll have to connect it myself since it's the one day this week when smiley - chef will be working, but I can handle that. And then... laundry day.

Although it has been a good lesson in "stop wearing 3 outfits a day then putting them in the laundry because youre too lazy to put them away" for the Gruesomes. Maybe I'll pretend it's a special one that only works twice a week smiley - evilgrin

Oh, how cool is that as a lesson for life? "If you don't want to put it away, just put it in the laundry!" - Sho, this is the awesomest thing I have learned today smiley - winkeye

(In fact, it isn't, as I have tended to be like this from time to time...)

Anyway, good news on the Waschmaschinenfahrrad front. Have you got a dryer to speed up the laundry? Well, if not, there seems to be lots of sun today.

Enjoy the washing. Erm. As far as this is even possible.

Y.

It was raining where I live when I was in town. I love the rain, no idea why so many people hate it.smiley - smiley

*wah* *sniff* *sniffle* feels sorry for self

Post 31

Yelbakk

Oh, that is simple: Because rain is wet and cold and gray. And most importantly: rain is not sun. QED.

Yeah, but the sun is hot* and it dehydrates you. The rain makes everything fresh again.

*I hate it when it gets above about 20 degrees C

Well, yes, the sun *is* hot, which kinda is the point, you see smiley - winkeye Oh, and hydration is "überbewertet" - what's the word? "overrated". There, drinking is overrated.

Y, I'm surprised at you! A dryer! In Germanland???
smiley - rofl
Actually I do have one but it's only for towels and only when I'm not on a huge guilt trip about destroying the planet. I do, however have a lovely warm and airy boiler room where things can dry.

But oh my. 75% of our household are of the female persuasion. Can anyone possibly IMAGINE the mountin of washing we have? (plus Sunday was bed changing/towel changing day smiley - wah)

Very dear sho,

So very sorry about your bad luck.

There is an English saying which goes

"It never rains but it pours".

I hope that it will soon stop "pouring" for you and that No. 2 will get her bicycle very very soon.

Bon courage mon amie.
