Sho - employed again!

this conversation is NOT low! much!!

thanks for the link, what a tease that trailer is, no swashbuckling scenes of the two of them.

Ethereal? Yes, I think they are. But you know, I've been in love with Legolas and Aragorn (but mostly Legolas) for something like 26 years, so the looks don't really come into it (although it helps that they're both drop dead gorgeous)

I have had a friend here this weekend and we were discussing the guys we letched over when we were at school, and for me it was people like John Taylor (Duran Duran) and David Sylvian (Japan) who are both... frankly the word is Androgynous (sp?) so I guess elves are right up my street.

TC, any weekend, just let me know, and you can be in charge of the remote. smiley - hug

How much backlog?

That much backlog methinks! smiley - laugh

Being a tad older than yourself Sho, I had "things" for David Bowie, Lou Reed (both very androgynous), Alice Cooper & Marc Bolen from TRex. That is apart from my already mentioned infatuation with Aragorn... smiley - drool

as long as it was the post and not the backlog...

so Gwennie, you think that even at my very young smiley - headhurts age I wasn't into Marc Bolan? Phwoar!

As for Aragorn.... oh boy, I've loved him forever. But Legolas will always be my numbr one smiley - lovethrob in literature, followed by Aragon and Ivanhoe tied for first place.

So... how is everyone today? It's a bit strange isn't it? Almost like the end of civilisation as we know it. Or am I overreacting?

I agree, Sho, it has been an odd day. But we aren't allowed to talk about it, except here:

I have caught up with Taken and I really think there should be a law forbidding men to have not only gorreous eyes like Charlie's but lashes too, so long you could land a 767 on them!

yes I saw that... which is why I didn't talk about it specifically.

Anyway this is for drooling so I'll just mention that I'm off to the bath with my smiley - elf (well, the final book of the Lord of the Rings)

And yes, it has.

The postman thinks it's hilarious, and waits to make sure she's around before he posts it! It can be a bit annoying sometimes: my food certificate has teeth marks in it!

Just watching 'doubletake'...it seems quite funny.

Sorry we didn't get to continue our chat Gnashers. smiley - biggrin I had to go, otherwise I wouldn't have got my chores finished early enough to visit the gym and return in time to meet Chris's taxi when it dropped him off from school. smiley - bigeyes

I'm absolutely, dootley fine thank you! smiley - ta How about yourself, are you well apart that is from divesting your smiley - dog of the post? smiley - laugh

My parents had to put a mesh box over their letterbox after their Corgi, who had become accustomed to playing tug of war with the newspaper boy over my Dad's Financial Times through said letterbox, one day bit the Postman's fingers! smiley - yikes

*Grins wickedly at Sho*

I spotted Aragorn first dearie but if you're very nice, I'll let you have him when I've finished, although you might have a long wait! smiley - drool

Well ladies, I have an embarrassing confession to make...You may remember that I have trouble staying awake in the evenings and last night I fell asleep right after the start of Enterprise! smiley - blush Fortunately, my faithful hubby took over the remote and recorded it for me! smiley - angel

I must be expending too much "energy" at the gym...smiley - drool

After the flat car battery that thwarted my attempt to go to the gym yesterday, I managed it today. Typically as I was on that torture rack for leg extensions (well, a few extra inches would stretch out some of the extra weight smiley - winkeye) right by the door, a group of visitors to the College was being shown round. The bloke taking them round said 'we are very pleased with the gym usage, it has only been open a year and as you can see it is used by all ages and all sizes' smiley - erm

There were a couple of nice young men using the weight machines today smiley - drool, but I was too busy trying to avoid a heart attack to appreciate the view from the rowing machine.

Not as nice as the view from the rowing machine, but I'm sure you'll appreciate it all the same! smiley - ok

That chap couldn't have been referring to you Caerwynn! smiley - hug

Oh no! Not you with the flat battery thing too? I hope you got away with just a recharge...smiley - laugh

Do you mean the leg extension machine Caerwynn? That's a particular killer and even more so if a sadistic member of staff is standing next to you nagging (or "encouraging" as she called it!) three more reps out of you on each set! smiley - flustered Even then she wasn't finished with me and had me do 15 reps of rapid partial extensions! smiley - yikes (The woman's a sadist!) Said sadist pulled the same trick whilst I was strapped into the adductor and leg press machines! I had to hang on to the banister rail to get down the stairs and required a very large vodka to aid my recovery! smiley - winkeye

I've only just recovered from the leg workout from last Friday and have parked my Zimmer frame ready for next the one! smiley - blush At this rate, I'll have legs like Arnie's! smiley - laugh

*makes a grab for the biccie*

I just go by the numbers by the machines, Gwennie, it's the one where you sit down and put your feet behind the padded rollers and then lift, 10K is bloomin' heavy! At least I don't have anyone barking at me. I just follow what is written on my little card, leaving out the floor abdo exercises as I get plenty of those at Pilates.

To be fair, this morning there were all ages and all sizes there, from the College students using the weights to a woman who was late 60s at a guess.

The rowing machine is likely to become my favourite as it is opposite the weight machines smiley - winkeye

I recharged the battery yesterday and it has held the charge, so far. But it is around 3/4 years since it was replaced, so a new one is probably due.

It does rather sound if your car battery is four years old, that it might be on the way out Caerwynn. smiley - erm Just remember not to leave anything switched on whilst your in the gym, otherwise you might have to get one of those nice chaps using the rowing machines to come and give you a push/jump start! smiley - winkeye

You'd have lurved the big boys at my gym today! smiley - drool Methinks they must be the ones entering the local strongman competition next month, which I've "suggested" to John the kids might enjoy attending. smiley - angel

*Gives not so innocent smiley - whistle*

T'was ever so embarrassing having to limp past them following today's leg work out and having to hang onto the banister rail to go down the stairs in full view of all and sundry too. smiley - blush Perhaps if I'd fallen down, they'd have all rushed to help me up? smiley - injured Nah! Probably not...In my dreams, hey? smiley - laugh
