Did I ever say that I think Greg Kinnear is rather cute. In "You've got mail" for example, where he plays Meg Ryan's geeky boyfriend.

My favourite men are Mark Hamil, Harrison Ford and Richard Gere and the new actor who plays Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars the Attack of the Clones.

Sho - employed again! Posted Oct 4, 2002
Harrison Ford in Empire Strikes Back is just about edible. Although I just love him anyway.
Who was talking about the Wiggles before? Cap'n Feather-Sword is cute too!! and for anyone who is familiar with Discovery Kids: I quite like both the Kratt Brothers, but Chris slightly has the edge.
How sad is that, I spend a day looking at kids' tv, and still find something to drool at!

Yes, it was Vanilla Sky that Tom Cruise got made up to be disfigured.
awful film.
Haven't seen "The Time Machine" with Guy Pearce but intend to rent the video when it comes out.
TC, when is your conservatory being built?
Snoring...you reminded me of being married......
I've got a sink! With running water! And the cupboards have doors!

Oh yes - a new kitchen is a great cheerer-upper. Especially when everything works!
A neighbour I used to have once said "I only feel half a person without my washing machine" She would probably have said it about her dishwasher or oven, too, but you know what she meant. Why do our lives revolve around feeding and clothing whoever is near us?
Do you also offer a visitor the bathroom and say "you must want to freshen up" - the minute they get to your house? Women are supposed to do that, you see.
~drool~ thread
Sho - employed again! Posted Oct 5, 2002
Oh, I don't say that. I usually ask if they want coffee.
~drool~ thread
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Oct 5, 2002
I say that when they're about to leave, after I've poured several or down their throats, and sandwiches too, if they've come a long way to see me, {Bassman}
No-one ever says it to me, though, and I find it embarrasing to ask, which is why I always offer my facilities to my visitors.
The kitchen is coming along fine, just two more wall units to go up, then the one with the glass front, then the other worktop which has to have the hob bit cut out, then the hob to fit, then change the ceiling light, then all the wall tiling and painting, including the ceilingdid I say it was nearly done?
My ex-brother-in-law has promised to come & lay the floor tiles for me in a fortnight.
Stargate repeated today at 6pm, Sky One for those who did not see it Wednesday.
I just put my Cliff Richard entry into Peer Review, I've been ages writing that.
~drool~ thread
Gwennie Posted Oct 5, 2002
Sho knows from experience that I offer my 'facilities' and lots of and ...I would offer food too but then my visitors would be in need of a as well.
Cliff Richard was my very first object of desire but when I was 5 years old!
I very stupidly sold my massive Cliff vinyl record collection to a school friend for £20 when I was 14 and suppose that it would be worth a lot more than that nowadays.
You've met Bassman in RL GB? Wosseelikethen? Do tell! I'm all ears...

Sho - employed again! Posted Oct 5, 2002
Oh yes, I can attest to Gwennie's hospitality. (thanks again Gwennie, see you in 2 years....)
I usually tell people where the loos are straight away and then they can "help themselves". If they've come a really long way, or I've been to collect them at the airport I usually offer freshening up facilities anyway, so I suppose I'm not too bad.
And if people book a visit in advance they usually get cake. If I remember they're Vegan they usually get carrot cake, and if not then it's either my Mum's World Famous Chocolate and Yoghurt Cake (truly the best chocolate cake ever in the history of chocolate cake) and/or Banana/Choc Chip cake (one is baking in the oven right now)
40 minutes to Stargate... not sure if I'll watch, since the gruesome twosome have sworn off it due to a distinct lack of Daniel. Although number 2 wants to marry Teal'c now, so maybe she will. But I'm writing a(nother) fic right now based on another episoe and I want to get that finished, so we may have to watch Dora the Explorer instead.
I really should get a life!

A life?
Don't you DARE!
Ooh, you said the word......
I'm minding the grandson tonight, older daughter has gone to Sheffield to see someone in concert, that I've never heard of.
Son-in-law was putting up units until 7pm, and then he went to the pub with my son who's just come back from a week in Greece. He'll be brown as a t**d little s*d!
Bassman, Gwennie. He's lovely.
Cuddly and lovely personality, and a great shame he's attached or he'd be MINE!
I've been drooling over the young lads who were in tonight's Pop Stars
Did anyone watch that new sci-fi during the week? The one with Peter Webber Odyssey 5, I think it was called. I thought it was very good, I was really impressed with the ship!
I want more X-Files!
At least more Doggett and Reyes.
They should get their own series.
"Unsolved X-Files" or something.
Anything.

I was only joking about the Life. No hope!
Ages and ages since I've been to see a band, it used to be my hobby. Sigh.
And now I have 2 sick kids (poor ol' #1 sicked all over #2's bedroom!) with high temperatures, so it looks like we baked the cake for nothing. poor little loves. But I deffo need a and a
Still if there aren't any visitors I may be able to watch the repeat of Oddessy tomorrow. (didn't watch Stargate, I watched Little Bear with the wee sickies, how lovely am I?)

Can you let us have the recipe for that , Sho?
I have just made a massive confession. Well, in fact, Teasswill did it for me. It's knocked me out to see it in writing. It's in the "Without Love" thread.

and here I am, alone, and dreading growing old alone.
In 17 yers since I divorced a good but boring man, I've found passion a few fleeting times, but believe me, it doesn't last.
I'd rather have a man I can depend on, someone there for me through thick and thin.
The trouble is, they're all married.
I am going for a cry too.

Sho - employed again! Posted Oct 6, 2002
TC... do you still have my e-mail addy? Oh, it's all over the web anyway: mail me at [email protected] and put Drool thread in the subject, and I'll mail you the recipe tomorrow (and anyone else who wants it)
I haven't seen that thread yet, so I'll have a look.
I've been watching Monarch of the Glen.
Archie is cute, but those jeans have to go.
Golly has a really sexy voice. Very gravelly and knickermelting.
Duncan is cute, especially when he does that head on one side thing. I'll bet he's very "enthusiastic"!

for TC and AGB....
hhmmm....passion......
I guess that a relationship based on Passion never lasts (I should know that one by now! ), but a relationship that is based on love and respect can have Passion in it along the way (with a *lot* of hard work).
We'll be here for you through thick and thin AGB!
A lovely lady like you wont have to grow old alone...
Well, my mother has finally invaded my last bit of privacy - she's joined h2g2. Poor thing doesn't know what to do now she's here though! U204658

well done your mum. Mine lurks occasionally (waves to mum and other lurkers) but hasn't registered.
btw: got your mail, you should have the recipe by now.
Cuddles to all who are feeling down.
And many many apologies. The company I work for (well, my mother company) are the sponsors of the snooker that kept Farscape off the tv today!

I wouldn't take it out on you, Sho.
Thanks for your comments about my Cliff entry at PR.
How's the slash fic coming along?
Thanks LSF
I just watched "The Undiscovered Country" - did you know Christian Slater was in that?
Great acting by Christopher Plummer as the baddie Klingon.
Odyssey 5 on now.......but I think it's a repeat of the first episode which is what I watched on Wednesday.
If it is, I'm off to bed.
