Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 27, 2002
Back.
Terminal case of stress for various reasons, so I'll keep it short.
TV is on the blink! And I missed the first eps of the new Stargate! I'm glad I saw them on squinty now.

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Sep 28, 2002
Wasn't the holiday a success?
Sorry you missed Stargate.
Did you also miss the X-Files finale on Thursday night?
I thought the kissing was a great improvement - although Scully put her heart and soul into it and Mulder looked like he was just acting...
They've left the ending open for a film, I bet there'll be another one!
*waits patiently for Monday night and new Farscape*
Thanks for saying on the BB whinge thread that you'd have alerted me if you'd known, Caerwynn.
My local paper is organizing a 2003 calendar for charity.
They have been posting a picture of the stars on the front page and a biopic inside, with measurements, etc. each day.
Yes, they're firemen.
In a state of undress.
*recovers sufficiently to see if I can find a link for you ladies*
Yes, I will be buying the calendar.
http://www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=59354&command=displayContent&sourceNode=58906&contentPK=2529655
If that link gets moderted out, then try http://www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk
then search for "calendar"
That's the story, unfortunately there's no pic of the hunk who was on the front page last night.
Oh well.
I can always scan the pictures when I have the calendar and mail them to anyone interested.

*back from reading the backlog*
Thank you for typing out the episode I missed, Prophet. I really appreciate it, and I'd be grateful for the ending if anyone saw it?
The only door-knockers I get are Jehovah's Witnesses
There was a really cute electrician round here yesterday, fitting me a thermostat {} in my hallway he was as tall and dark-haired as Kheldar {} but all he talked about was his new-born twin boys.
LSF, on my celibacy thread, Luckystar is debating whether to dye her hair jet black. Just thought you might be interested.

Glad the synopsis was useful. If/when I get to see the rest I'll post the ending.

Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 28, 2002
Hi folks,
just stressed generally, the kids were pretty much 50/50 nice/nightmare on holiday (par for the course)
LSF: you would have loved the place where I went to stay! I attended a lecture on positive/negative engergy in nature, and in our body language, absolutely fascinating. I also did some water divining (found the source) and discovered that I, apparently, have healing hands.
To top it all two of the male guests were rather droolworthy!

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Sep 28, 2002
That sounds like my ideal holiday as well!
According to my tv mag -
"Farscape - Monday 6.45pm. Part One. The return of one of those confusing minor sci-fi series. Here modern-day spaceman John Crichton has been sucked into a wormhole and ends up trapped in a future world {} of blue-faced creatures { a bit out-of-date?} and malevolent multi-limbed beings. As this fourth series begins, Crichton is now alone on an old Leviathan craft, but his peace is soon shattered by the arrival of sexy female alien Sikozu - and the plundering mercenary Grudeks hot on her tail."
Do you think the BBC heard us complaining on the BBC whinge thread?
Can this really be part one? Or a mistake in my tv mag?
~drool~ thread
Mr Prophet (General Purpose Genre Guru) Posted Sep 28, 2002
Well, given they plainly have no clue what they're talking about (confusing minor sci-fi series? What do they think it is? Lexx?) I'd hazard a degree of wrongness, especially since most listings mags are composed sufficiently in advance that a late reschedule would be unlikely to get noted.

You can call me TC Posted Sep 28, 2002
Right, well, let's write our own then.
I'm afraid I can't because I don't know Farscape well enough. I don't watch telly much on a Sunday. Tomorrow I could though because I have like 5 (in words five) baskets of washing to iron. I'd need several episodes of Farscape and a few Star Treks to get through that.
Anyway. I could do a Radio Times type blurb for Andromeda if they're interested. Or Stargate.
or I could invent the ideal scifi series - full of sexy aliens and humourous humans.

Mr Prophet (General Purpose Genre Guru) Posted Sep 28, 2002
Looks like Farscape on Monday is Part One of a two-parter, so that explains that.

I prefer when I iron - takes the drudge out of it.
Do you have one of those ironing boards with a nude man on it? When it gets hot the towel over the naughty bits vanishes?
I don't. I just wondered..........
~drool~ thread
You can call me TC Posted Sep 29, 2002
Actually, those ironing boards are just the sort of thing men would invent because they think women would like that sort of thing.
They could invent a man who irons, but that doesn't cross their minds.

You can call me TC Posted Sep 29, 2002
He doesn't even have to be naked. Just get the ironing done.
~drool~ thread
Sho - employed again! Posted Sep 29, 2002
ah, there I have it made. My hubs irons very well. In fact, it's his chore!!
(so, Mr Prophet, before I run away with you, you have to sign an ironing contract)
I watched The Mexican last night, phwoar! Brad Pitt!! He may be a bit of a w... well, you know, in RL, but he does look mighty "doable"

Sounds very nice Sho!
Hope the snotlings didn't stress you out too much - at least you found some time to enjoy the drool-worthy men there....
did you offer to heal them with your magic touch??

You can call me TC Posted Sep 29, 2002
Isn't the script of "Mexican" just hilarious? And Julia Roberts is great too!

You'll be swamped in backlog, LSF.
There are a lot of us celibates.
The person you want to speak to is Luckystar, you might do better making a seperte thread on her message centre, bring me the link & I'll join you.
The fellas in the Celibacy thread might object to an off-topic discussion.
*lines up copious amounts of and for the ironers in this thread*
I can't do any housew*rk at the moment, even cooking, because I'm still having my kitchen built. Some wall units went up yesterday and the cooker was installed, but there's no way I could cook in there....I'm still breathing in plaster dust, from the old tiles we chipped off.
Just washing, which is a pleasure to peg out.
Iron?
Well, I'd do it, if I could find my ironing board, and my iron.
A naked man on the ironing board?
Then I'd never get any ironing done,
Some people are so lucky, was it your hubs who doesn't snore, Sho?
He cooks, he doesn't snore, and he irons!
I think you have the perfect man.......no wonder I've never met him!
Although right now I'd be happy to date a decorator, then my kitchen would get finished quicker.
*waves to lurkers*
Note to self: FARSCAPE TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
