yeah I was a bit disappointed with the DVD, I think it must be easier for him to perform for american audiences considering most of his humor is very English in its performance
I got the Jack Dee DVD at Christmas as well as the Eddie Izzard one, I thought it was really good It had me in stitches the whole time

hehe it's a goodie...do you like Billy Connolly?
Ullo
TeaKay Posted Feb 20, 2003
Billy Conolly is a legend I think he's fantastic, second only to Eddie :D I love his 'world tour' series'- I like the mix of comedy and history- shows you can be interested in sciences and history without necessarily being branded a boring old fart

See I thought that series was brilliant! you got Billy Connolly doing what he does best and you got to see history from a different angle
A lot of people think he's past his best, which may be true but he's still brilliant
What about Phil Jupitus?
Ullo
TeaKay Posted Feb 20, 2003
Hmmm, Phil Jupitus hasn't impressed me with what I've seen, but then I haven't really seen that much.

I really like him but apart from the Buzzcocks he's not really on the TV much

We have a Jongleurs Comedy Clubin Leicester, but it's expensive. Been there a few times though, usually good for a laugh (as you'd hope, it being a comedy club...)

I would love it if there was a comedy club around here

They're fun, but expensive. And I've seen a guy at ours who I've seen on TV a few times, but I can't remember his name.

He's playing in Leicester soon. Might be this weekend actually, which will be why I'm not going. Would have liked to, though.
