You're not dense at all Pailaway. When I clicked on it yesterday, I got the error message 'page cannot be displayed' even though I tried it several times. It's working perfectly now.

Phew. Thank goodness for that.

Given Prof's history with computers, it's ironic that a site he uses crashes *someone else's* PC, yet works on his!!

I only looked at the website, I hadn't downloaded any programs. but I thank you for the info and also apologise to GB, I'd have felt bad if it had crashed yours love

I've got round the 'crashing it' problem by manually editing the configuration file to set my location. Only given it a quick try, but it seems to work otherwise

I notice that they now have a 'world wide telescope' site that will let you see the constellation you are working on from some of the worlds best telescopes. WARNING before you try it it has system requirements that are glutonous- like 2 gigabites of RAM ( 10 gigabytes recommended). I for one don't want to devote that much space to one item.

Sorry to say, but GB's currently locked out of hootoo, and no way to get in.

Keep your fingers crossed that this new bug won't persist.
