It's pouring down here.

It's quite sunny here today ..was gonna take Jo and his little friend up to the science museum for the afternoon and take a picnic..but little friend couldn't do it today as he's at his aunties and Jo didn't want to go without him..shame..it would have been nice.

School holidays almost over, thank goodness...

I still need to check if they're back monday or tuesday..i'm so forgetful at the mo!

Mine's back Monday, thank goodness the little I ain't half gonna miss him.

Gets a bit much doesn't it as much as we love them. It's nice that my Jo's out playing football n whatnot so much.
I'm babysitting tonight at a friends (I owe her a few as she took Jo all last weekend after Genie took him out saturday with her boy,and when we went to bognor)n just got woken up by a cab firm calling to say her taxi was waiting! the dippy doris seems to have picked up her old phone instead of the new one! and i only have the number for the new one.. oh well..i hope she gets another taxi ok. It took me (and the enormous stufed tiger off the sofa)ages to get to sleep in the first place with me being all silly n n needing a tonight..

I'm really missing my parents, I'm not used to them being so far away. They're in France for the D-Day memorial

My parents live 10 minutes walk away..but weve never been terribly close. Especially me n my Dad. I do't know what i'd do without my mum though..even though we're not close in terms of being able to talk,get a or whatever..I don't think she ever really knew 'how' I have some really really great friends though that are more like family themselves..

GB, you are so lucky having such a good relationship with your parents - that's something rare and worth treasuring. I hope they're enjoying their trip

better today than was last night though! got pretty when i was babysittting at a friends.. sucks dunnit..

The scool holidays started here. It'll last until september. Kids are really pleased.

thats a long holiday! They get about 6 weeks here from late july and thats more than enough..

During the schoolyear they have 1 week in November, 3 for Christmas and 1 more in March. Now they kinda can't cope with all the free time and they keep complaining (from 8 am already) that it's booo-oooring.
