In your defense it is rather difficult to remember it when you never look any older
Congratulations!

Splendid idea!
Friend here tried to cook rhubarb with lilac flowers. Thought lilac might lend some aroma and taste - like elderberry flowers. But apparently it didn't work. Next time she'll try using ten times the amount. Can't wait to hear about it. Maybe even taste it!

Happy hootooversaray Hati!
Personally, I think the lilac flowers might taste more if sprinkled raw upon the finished rhubarb whatever. Never heard of anyone trying to cook them.

My son's girlfriend gave me some sugar flavoured with lavender for Christmas. I'm still trying to think of uses for it. I've tried it in tea (green tea) but it didn't cut the mustard. The only other thing I can think of is ice cream. There was a thread about the use of lavender somewhere - I think Bea was looking for recipes. I'm just worried about the chewy lumps in the food. They're not soft petals like lilac or elderflower, but those little seed-shaped buds.

Up until now I've known only one reason for eating lilac. If you find a lilac flower with five (or more) petals, then it's good omen and must be eaten. (Lilacs with double flowers are cheating and won't work.)

A number of gods and humans are expected to survive ragnarok.
But who cares about that if there isn't any left?
