Meanwhile I just returned from a 10 day long trip to my mother's 85th and another xmas luncheon 
The upside is both are now behind me and I returned with 24 liters of Rostocker Export 
, 6 bottles of GDR 
and a huge German salami

Right. Couple of friends seem to think it is their responsibility to help a bad company act better. I don't. I simply buy my stuff other places

car rentals .. ah no, usually they're fine. It's just that from now on I avoid a v i s. They're a robbing lying bunch of thieves, charging VAT twice, unable to keep their promises, and unable to communicate.
