In fact, it's a year since I saw Tartaronne in Melbourne. It must be your turn.

Me, I'm interested in snow but I haven't seen enough of it to have too strong a feeling about it.
It was supposed to rain today. It hasn't. I feel cheated, somehow.

We had pretty much no weather at all today. Just some wind. Cold wind, actually. Gloomy.

Melbourne's been like that the last couple of days. But I'm back in Canberra now so that isn't my problem any more.
Mum tells me that Laine's funeral included a lot of folk songs. Laine was from Viljandi and her father was a boatman...

Thanks for that link.
Watching that made me think it's unfortunate that my grandmother isn't in a position to use the Internet to find these old songs. But then again, I have to admit to being relieved that she isn't on here somewhere, watching me.

Mind you, they still sing that song here, too.
Grandmothers online... Sounds strange. My mother will be 69 in few days. Sometimes I show her things that are somewhere in the world wide web. She doesn't have much computer skills herself and neither has she a computer. I have tried to talk her into getting online and all but she is very reluctant, even though she actually had to use a computer at w*rk for years. Mostly dos-things though.

My mother's online, sort of, and she's 67. That's frightening enough for me. She doesn't do much and she doesn't have sites she visits regularly, but who knows what will happen next...

It almost feels like home but I'm not here long enough or often enough to feel completely settled. Once I start painting I'll feel more attached to the place I expect.
And then there's the garden. That will feel like mine once I've planted things in it.
On the bright side - it no longer feels odd when I see strangers going into my old house... So I'm nearly at home, I suppose.

Ah! When is the planting season? Do you know what you want to have in your garden?
You need to share a secret with your house, common secrets tie.

It's the best time for planting shrubs and trees and things right now. Fruit and vegetables, I'm not so sure. That can wait until next year when I know what I want to grow. This year I'll just plant things that look pretty.

Yes, and I wish I had more time for it. Maybe next year I will.
This year I'll just put in a few native shrubs and dream up what to do next year.

I have office plants - they keep me company when I don't want to deal with the people there.

I don't have an office. And I don't want to deal with people. Ever. But maybe it's seasonal. SAD or so.
