The pile of logs does mean a real open fire, at the moment it's just a little thing sitting in a bloody great chimney breast but I have plans to oik it out, widen the hole and put a log burning stove in with a back boiler to run the central heating.
It'll burn pallet wood that I can get for zilch which is a lot cheaper than buying kerosene for the other boiler
There is quite a lot of garden there but thankfully most of it is lawn and I have a powered mower so it doesn't take much effort to mow it
I prefer the old job to this one (I got a lot more satisfaction from the old job)but I'm where I wanted to be and this job allows that so I'm more happy now than I was (sort of)
Nearly everything is unpacked but not all have a permanent home as yet as I still need to sort out what I'll do with some of my furniture.
I need to make some alterations in the kitchen so my fridge will fit. I need to paint the house exterior as it's a bit shabby where I had new windows fitted and where I've had a porch put on the front. There are plans to have a new driveway laid down and what with the plans for the fire I can see it's gonna keep me fairly busy for a while. So much for me wanting to have a house with nothing needing doing to it
I shal keep you posted on the progress (if any) made

that all sounds expensive, not to mention hard work but a project worth getting stuck into I've no doubt. You'll get a lot of satisfaction from the end results I bet.
So, how's the rest of life? Are you getting out on the bike at the moment or is it all tucked up nice and warm and safe for the winter months?
I can't wait til Spring - I really wasn't built for this climate
Well, your googly eyes aren't there so I guess you probably working or something so I'll wander off and catch you soon

I didn't get a chance to get on here Friday and am only on hear for a moment as I've been busy today. Have been out in the garage tidying it up as the new drive is going to be started on Monday and I wanted it clear so they can gat the drive level with the floor in there. Not that the floor in there is anywhere near level (another job to do)
All this work is expensive and I did budget for it when I moved in but it still hurts to hand over the money
Bike at the moment is all covered up with a bettery charger doing it's work. It's been so long since I've had any time to ride it that it wont start
The rest of life (what rest) is for the most part non existent as I don't seem to have time for anything else other than w*rk and the house. I'm not complaining though as it's quite satisfying doing it.
How are you doing now?
I hope there is still a spring in your step!!

The drive was finished today and looks really good
Now all I have to do is tidy up the rest of the front garden
Well that's not all I have to do but as far as the garden goes it is!!
I hope all is well with you
