This is my first web -is this what this is?- posting of any kind, so I'll use it to tell you who I am. One thing I'm not is original or extremely witty, but I do know a few things.
I have taught Latin first in Philadelphia, then in Virginia, and since 1978 in Kansas, so I am pretty good at that. Also Greek, but not so good at that. Oh yes, born and raised in Kansas too.
I write a newsletter for the Salina Astronomy Club and one for a local sports interest organization, supporting the University of Nebraska. 2 cats own my wife and me. I like scifi written, on TV, and in the movies; I can't wait for the "Hitchhikers' Guide" and "Lord of the Rings" to hit the movie screen!
