Your wellcome !!
yes,i follow the situation in tibet so far as it´s possible.
i don´t know sure where i got the link from, think from a search-engine.
i read the autobiography of the dalai lama and watched a TV-documentation about the tibetan resistance forced by the CIA
i think that was the reason for the search.
sleep well !!
now for me it´s time to have lunch

GB- Sure you can bring the Crab! does it have a name?
Nim- all i can say is: i'm sorry.
if people decide they want the character of Zax to stay male, i'm willing to play along- i just had to make sure everyone knew that the person BEHIND 'him' is FEMALE.
yeah, i agree in a way, Zax has 'his' own reality going on here on h2g2, and it's rather separate from ME. i just couldn't let people get emotionally attatched to 'him'.
you CAN fainto over Dan...?

Hey GB- didn't know you were getting friendly with Fred.
I knew I shouldn't let that crab out of my sight.
And there are plenty of blokes to faint over here...
*sighs*

Sky blue pink
Mick & Hoppa Canuck Posted Aug 11, 2000
HI! I came to visit too! The sky isn't blue from ocean reflections, though; it's from light refraction, not reflection. For a really proper explanation you'll have to ask somebody smarter than me, but it goes something like this: --(no singing!)--
Y'know how a rainbow is a spectrum of colours 'coz white light is a combination of them all, refracted ( bounced/separated) by water particles? Cool.
So. Blue light is refracted the most, so the sky is blue. Mostly.
At sunrise and sunset the angle of incidence is different so it looks red. Or pink. Or purporangaple. Same with the ocean, except it can look greenish sometimes. Unless you are very deep; then it's dark, see? (No, I s'pose not; it's dark...)
After sunset, when there's no light to be refracted, the sky looks black. (Remember the depths of the ocean; absence of light is dark!)
Cheers! PLT, Mick.

That's a heck of a lot better than my explanation... Oh yeah. thanks to Zax for the brownie. *takes a brownie and enjoys it's yummy moistness and rich chocolate flavour*
*Flies away slowly because I am stuffed with brownies*

LOL!
nicely answered, Mick! but you didn't mention the fact that the only REAL reason the sky (or the sea) is blue, is because that's what OUR eyes are built to recieve best!
(food for thought... the sky may very well appear red to cats, green to dogs, and even yellow to birds! since all of them have differently formed eyes from ours!! hmmmmmmm!)
LOL! have a brownie, Mick!
*offers the tray, refreshed from the damage the Lizard Prince wreaked upon it*

Awwww, nim, I know how you feel.
But we're gonna have to get over this- I mean, at least we have Zax back.
It could've been much, much worse...
