*sigh*
*thinks of her little 66MHz at home...*
*...and wonders what the school computers are...*

Chris Tonks Posted Nov 14, 2001
Well, I've only got a Celeron 400MHz now, but it's slower than it should be because of my computer's total lack of good memory.
Morning!
Chris Tonks Posted Nov 14, 2001
Seriously, with the generally poor state of my computer, a 400MHz is just as good/bad as a 66MHz.
*Hopes it won't be offended by that.*
Oh, sorry Ming, I would go on the IM but I'm about to go offline. I'll see you tomorrow though.
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Nov 14, 2001
Sure.
I'll believe that when I see it.
That OK, I figured I'd miss you when mum demanded the phone at half eight... she had that look about her "I'm going to spend as much time as I possibly can not letting you have the net because I am opposed to it and rebelling against you always having the phoneline".
Honestly, I don't understand why I can't have my own phoneline... mutter mutter, grumble grumble grumble, complain, etc, etc, etc...

You will.
Actually, I won't be able to come online tonight. Probably not, anyway. I've got my certificate presentation evening, you see, which I forgot about. Photos.
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Nov 15, 2001
Hmmm... *looks doubtful*
Sounds nasty. Anyway, I have to struggle with integration and do an essay, so it's just as well, I suppose...

Aw, nuts! I had a great big reply to that post, and I see it didn't make it here after all...
You see, it was at the very moment I posted it and posted something to you on the messenger that my connection went mad, and refused to transmit or receive anything other than raw header information. Basically, it could tell me that a webpage existed, but couldn't load it. Similarly, I lost my connerction to the messenger. It seems to be working now, but I'm not sure how long for.
In the mean time, I'll try and think up that reply again.
Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Nov 18, 2001
Oh is that what happened? Cos I didn't see you go because my connection had cut off... Oh dear... oh well, good luck thinking up that reply again then!

Morning!
Ming Mang Posted Nov 18, 2001
Yeah, took me ages to sort it out and get back online, and even then it was taking ages, I had to go offline and back on again before things started working properly...
Oh well.
Keep trying!

I refuse to see Harry Potter, as you well know.
Ah yes, 1993... I think my primary school was just introducing us to Acorns... whole new concept, computers... DOS... terrified me when they introced a new thing with Windoze on it a few years later...
