Maybe you could be the first person to write a guide entry in Elvish, if you ever succeeded.
On an even less serious note, I believe the Librarian in the Discworld novels tried to compile a dictionary so he could be understood better, but it fell a bit flat as the only word he speaks is 'ook'.

Me neither, but I'm currently re-reading 'England Made Me' by Graham Greene, though it's for my lit course, so that maybe doesn't count. I've also just finished reading Sylvia Plath's letters to her mother, not fiction, obviously, but pretty fascinating nevertheless.
