Hi there...!
I see you found the donut stall no problem...
I hope you don't mind that I stopped by to say "Hi"... Oh, I know you won't really mind...
I just thought I'd give you some links to visit too whilst I was round...
Now, if you ever have *any* questions at all...the feel free to ask me... I like answering questions... But if ever I can't answer them...or if by some strange coincidence, I'm not here...then you can try the ACE Page (http://www.h2g2.com/A214796) They're all really, really helpful, and I'm sure one of them'll be along here shortly to welcome you...
You could also read the H2G2 Post, that's the community newspaper... There's a new edition every Monday, and you can find it at http://www.h2g2.com/u54963
There's loads of other links that you can find on my homepgae (just click on my name at the top of this post) Have a wander around, visit other peoples pages... Join in any forum you feel like joining...people won't mind...
Anyway, I'll leave you to it for a bit... Have fun looking around...

LOL... Well, OK, shall I just leave you to it & come and pester you later...? Or are there any questions you'd like to ask...?
Hi she!
she Posted Mar 18, 2000
well, i did ask one by the doughnut stand, but it seems to take me a long time to get in there, so perhaps you could answer it here instead?
Hi she!

The one question I couldn't answer... Sorry, I've never had a look at it you see...
Tell you what...I'll go along now & see what I can make of it, then come back here, OK...
Hi she!
Eomando (it is it is it is 2 years now!!! 8-) ) Posted Mar 18, 2000
OK, I'm back...
I can't say I made much sense of it... It looks...complicated...
Oh well...I'd have to have a better look at it I suppose...
Anyway, what I gather is that it's a way of improving your guide entries before you submit them for official approval... You know, to get some feedback from other researchers...
So, I suppose your first step would be to write something, then have a better look at it... Perhaps read whats happened in some of the other ones to get the general idea of what's happening...
Perhaps you should ask Vegiman... He's one of the ACE's on the ACE page, and he's also one of the people involved, so really he would be the best person to ask...

OK, you said "answers on a shorter forum", and I would call this a shorter forum...
Yes, it's perfectly normal to have lots of different conversations with the same people in different forums... So much so, that sometimes it's hard to remember what's going on in all the different ones...
Just as an example, I end up talking to PP sometimes in 7 or 8 different forums at once...
Hi she!
she Posted Mar 18, 2000
that's reassuring to know {i think}
i'm not really ready to write anything yet. i just thought it might be interesting to review someone else's work. have you written anything?
Hi she!
Eomando (it is it is it is 2 years now!!! 8-) ) Posted Mar 18, 2000
Yeah, I've written bits & pieces... Some aren't finished... But if you ever want to look, you can find them on my homepage...
Hi she!

i've just been reading your page, and i see another reference to icq. how does it work, and can i get it too? seems to be popular round here.
Hi she!
Eomando (it is it is it is 2 years now!!! 8-) ) Posted Mar 18, 2000
ICQ is another chat thing, but it's a lot faster than h2g2...and really not at all the same... Anyway, you can get it free from http://www.icq.com It's good... If you get it & tell me your number I'd be able to talk to you there as well as here...
Anyway, what does ICQ stand for...? Well, you have to say it out loud... Then it sounds like "I Seek You"...that's what it's supposed to stand for anyway...
Hi she!
she Posted Mar 18, 2000
'i seek you'? very inventive by someone there. think i might try to get it, though i'm not too good at this technical stuff yet.
Hi she!

Don't worry about it... It doesn't take too long to get the hang of it...
Besides, if you decide that you don't like it, you can always delete it.
Anyway, like I said, if you do get it...let me know & I'll try & help you there all I can.
Hi she!
