Well, about 18 hours ago the sky
(which was very dark at the time)
starting growing lighter. Soon, a
bright glowing circular thing rose
above the horizon, and climbed high
into the sky. The traffic on the road
in front of my house grew much heavier,
and a lot of people began getting out
of their beds and making coffee and
preparing something they call breakfast.
Then.....

Say, are you sure you want *all* the details
of my day?

....about an hour ago, the bright circular
thing sank back below the horizon, and the
sky has become rather dark again. The
traffic has necome heavy again, but the
cars and trucks are going the opposite direction
from the one they were going earlier in the day.

It's hard to say what will happen from here.
If the bright circular object never appears
again, the temperature will gradually get lower
and lower, and we will eventually freeze, if
we don't starve first. Either outcome is not
good. smiley - sadface Fortunately, based on expereience
we expect a repeat of today's phenomena starting
in about ten hours. There may be variations
on this theme, such as water that falls from
the sky, but we'll still get more light than
we're getting now. smiley - smiley

Water continues falling from the sky.
The streets have been full of cars, even
though this was not a work day. Millions
of people gave flowers, gifts, and best
wishes to their mothers today, because
somebody had decided to call the day
"Mother's Day." Nobody is sure if the
night that follows Mother's Day should be
called "Mother's Night." Every family will
need to work that out for itself. smiley - winkeye
