Having one of those days...!

So this is the bit you come to if you want to know all about me? Nosey! smiley - winkeye

A dog and a phone

Ok then. Fair's fair, I do my share of snooping on other people's Spaces. But the deal is, if you read on then you have to say hello at the end!

I'm told Marcel Proust used to do this questionnaire which he set himself, and re-answer it every so often. Maybe I'll do the same. First edition 5 March 2008. (In Progress!)

What do you consider your greatest achievement? An easy one. Tearing myself away from a secure, lucrative career with a very strong and enveloping (nearly incestuous) social network and liberating myself.

what is your idea of perfect happiness? Living in a time and place where 'disadvantages' have become extinct. (Wide enough to cover all the bases? smiley - laugh

what is your current state of mind? Relaxed. Thoughtful from doing these questions. At a happy point in life, overall.

what is your favorite occupation? I always get a zapp out of earning a living from anything I've made personally. Self-employment is nice too, but I'm happy doing nearly anything if I have a nice bunch around me. I once heard someone say it is far more enjoyable to to a job you hate with people you love than a job you love with people you hate - it's so true.

what is your most treasured possession? A collection of hankies. No, seriously! All her life my granny embroidered linen handkerchiefs. For every big event, seemingly, she got a new one and embroidered it. Some are historical, some family events, but together they are amazing. You can see how she got better at it from the early ones on, too, which is pretty fantastic to look at. They are among the things I bother to put in a safe box if I'm going away.

what or who is the greatest love of your life?smiley - winkeye Fair's fair. I don't think I'll answer that here. Proust wasn't writing his answers for the public, after all!

what is your favorite journey? Britain to Ireland by ferry. The slow one, not this new-fangled high speed service. But what I'd really like is to go to America by ship.

Having second thoughts yet? Just think how bored I'm getting writing all this!smiley - laugh

what is your most marked characteristic? I really don't know. I'd need to do some deep soul searching for that one and it is too late in the evening for it.

when and where were you the most happiest? In a rowing boat near Lancaster about two years ago.
