Hello everyone
Hi, my name is Rebecca though everyone knows me as Becca or Bex. I was a PE and Physics student at Loughborough University, England until I graduated in summer 2000. I am just qualifying as a Physics teacher at secondary (11-16 yr olds) level. It has been good fun and a lot of hard work.
At university I lived in probably the largest catered hall in Europe called Elvyn Richards. We have 650 people and the atmosphere was great
I am a Christian and during the summer I am a leader on a week long Christian camp for kids aged 12-16. As stressful as it sounds it is really great fun and I get to meet lots of great people. The kids are great and the other leaders are wonderful. It is a brilliant thing to be involved with and after each one I am always looking forward to the next :-)
As you can tell from the degree I do I am a great fan of sport. I used to play in goal for hockey for the University 2nd team, occasionally making appearances for the firsts when they were desperate :-) I also play football and cricket for my halls of residence.
I have only just discovered the wonders of The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy 'trilogy' though they have been on my brothers bookcase for years - I don't think he is going to get them back in the near future.
I actually work in a bingo hall during the summer to earn money to get me through university life. Laugh if you want - everyone else seems to!!
