Researcher Dirigini
Hi and welcome to my Homepage. I think it's time to update things a bit as I've been a busy bunny.
Well I'm male, 38 (Homo spiens olderblokus) and I'm about to start work as a security guard, wish me luck. :-)
In my spare time, I like to write stories, mostly science fiction, but right now, I'm writing a novel about a group of British soldiers. I've got as far as chapter seven with probably about 13 to go.(If there are any serving or recent ex - servering soldiers out there, who can give me a hand, please get in touch)
My researcher name is in fact the name of a species of alien I invented for my story Dirigini, which I sent to Interzone who turned it down. Better luck next time, I suppose.
As well as Douglas, I like to read: PTerry Pratchett, Greg Bear, Gregory Benford, David Brin, Stephen Baxter, the excellent British SF magazine Interzone and science writers like Richard Dawkins. I've also recently discovered Plato.
I also love music, with my favourite artist being Mike Oldfield - of Tubular Bells fame - thought he's released 20 albums now and TB isn't the best. Beethoven and Vivaldi are my favourite classical composers, while acts, who are curent include: Aimee Mann, Eels & Blur.
The other major change in my life is that I've now got my own website, which is dedicated to the British SF author Brian Stableford. It's entirely free and my own lovechild, so why don't you take a look?
