fearlessattilathehun Posted Feb 25, 2005
Well, My Christian name is Marne(gaelic name). I was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA and lived 15 years in New York State, 20 years in the State of Connecticut, and some odd years in in the State of Ohio and Pennsylvania. I now live in Upstate NY. I keep busy with office work and retail sales. I went to college and Grad school. I'm probably old enough to be your mother.( I don't know, but I do suppose mostly kids play war games). I'm medium height 5'4" with dark hair and hazel eyes. You know, that crap!!People say I look Irish and we do have relatives from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, many years ago. These days, well, WHATWEVER. What about you???

Hi
fearlessattilathehun Posted Feb 26, 2005
Well, I'm kind of a rebel myself. Even if a bit of an old one. I prefer beer, really. And, an occaisional shot of whisky. I am taking a trustworthy friend out to a bar on St. Patrick's Day. Were you six years old the last time you hiked the Appalacian Trail? My goodness, I was a wee bit older than you when I learned to hike. I was 18 when I lived in England. I wanted to back to Britain but couldn't really. Traveling was expensive and I got busy with school and work. I'm in my mid-forties but don't let age scare you. Life gets better when you get older. Traveling these days isn't as costly but I don't get out much. Well, you youngings can pack your backpacks and head out on the trails. If you do hike alone make sure someone knows where you are off to.
Hi
dakeyras Posted Feb 26, 2005
i hate to say it but when i go for a hike i normaly just leave a note saying see ya in a few days and disapear off into the lands around bath i enjoy hikeing alone just as im an only child and it allways feel as if im alone no matter who im with but thats just me i find it just helps me relax and think im not rearly a people person although i do get on well with older people and unlike most people my age over here i tend to listen to older music like the rolling stones and such that tends to get me in to trouble as tollerance is very low over here aye i was six ish when i first walked the appalacian trail and its on my to do list and it is something il do my close mate have nicknamed me mission just cause i always seem to be focused on something and thats what i try to lose when i hike
your gonna be thinking im a little young to be drinking but hey its tru although i can hold my drink unlike many people here who are giving people like me a bad name
Hi
fearlessattilathehun Posted Feb 26, 2005
Well, a drink or two(or three or four) can be good for you now and then.I Had to learn to control my drinking though. I've known alcoholics who had a very bad time in life until they gave up the drinking. Is someone telling you you're no good or something? I know, I have felt like giving such people a good punch myself. Well, be careful of the Bobbys(We call 'em police), And, go to a Good pub not someplace you're afraid of. I know you are alone alot but you might bring someone with you.
Hi
dakeyras Posted Feb 26, 2005

Hi
fearlessattilathehun Posted Feb 27, 2005
I like rock'n roll, jazz, the blues, country folk, musicals, and classical(Mostly Mozart). I have a Worldband shortwave radio I listen to most of the time these days. It's fun. I have my eye on a Satellite Radio that get 120 stations. The problem with the thing is that you have to pay $12.00/Month. That's alot when radio should be free. TV used to be free until cable took over. I hate being a couch potato and just vegging out in front of the TV set. What music do you like besides The Rolling Stones(I like them too.).
Hi

Me too. Music is great. Do you play any intruements? I took piano and guitar. I bought a guitar and fiddled around with it recently. I can sing in groups. I hate doing solos though. Harmonizing is fun. I belonged to a group in CT. We put on three concerts every year.In one performance we gave we got a standing ovation. I was in the chorus. I have friends in music who do the solos. Sometimes, I just shut my door and turn on my headphones and blast rock. Whatever.Mick Jagger is one of my favorite performers. It's funny. I only went to one concert to see "Wings Over America" with the Eagles. Well, what a mob scene. There were thousands of screaming fans and alot of stuff going around. I get that closed in feeling in big crowds. The biggest crowd I ever was in was in Times Square in New York City on New Year eve one year. There were hundreds of thousand of people and all at once the crowd started to run. I was with a friend and luckily we were near The Peppermint Lounge dance club where we stayed to see the ball drop at midnight.

me im musicaly retarded all though i can sing to some extent me ive been to many a gig and am still going to more so thats cool and jagger is great and still going strong for an old git
Hi
fearlessattilathehun Posted Feb 28, 2005
It's funny that you think jagger is an old git. He's alot older than me, like my mother is his age. She hates him. Well, what can I say, I think it would be fun to go jumping around the stage with my guitar. Never fear, I'm not a musical genius myself. I found you get better if you practice. Anyhow, what's your best subject in school?
Hi
dakeyras Posted Feb 28, 2005

Hi
fearlessattilathehun Posted Feb 28, 2005
Oh, I had a friend in school with Dyslexia. He left because he hated what he went through. You can return one day or maybe you don't want to. Whatever. I spent most of my life working. I know I am getting to be an old git!! Don't rub it in. Actually, I hated school, especially Math. I almost left school when I was 15 because of Geometry. But, I was told I could study English and Psychology. So, that's what I did. I went to work for twenty years anyway. Working and hanging out with friends is cool. So, do you like your job??
Hi
dakeyras Posted Feb 28, 2005
me job aint bad its mostly hard labour but its excersise and it out in the fresh air and marne you are only as old as you feel so stay young at heart
Hi
fearlessattilathehun Posted Mar 1, 2005
Yeah, I'm young at heart. I liked to do hard labor. I had a few jobs where I lifted and carried alot of files and then clothes. Thousands of pounds. I would be so tired at the end of the day. Well, I used to hike alot then and so I didn't mind. I'd go out with my group of friends and have drinks till the wee hours of the morning , go home, sleep for a few hours, and go back to work. Did that for years.well,You're young so have fun.
Hi
dakeyras Posted Mar 1, 2005

Hi
fearlessattilathehun Posted Mar 1, 2005
Wow, that's alot. I can see why you go to the pubs. I can tell you a story of how I had to clear off a rolling rack of coats(doesn't sound bad) in 15 minutes, or else! The coats weighed hundreds of pounds. I did it though. You may be like me and have back problems. Not to worry. You can live top be 100 year old. I plan on it. When's your birthday?
Hi
dakeyras Posted Mar 1, 2005

Hi
fearlessattilathehun Posted Mar 1, 2005
You just turned 16 then on February 1. Awesome.Did you have a bithday cake?? My birthday is November 12. I got flowers and a neclace from Ireland. Oh, my cousin does heavy labor. He's a deisel mechanic and has to lift diesel engines and other heavy equipment. He just works very hard and is trying to go into engineering of some sort. Do you like electronics? I always liked electicity, too much for my own good. I gave myself a few shocks playing around with radios and batteries and stuff. I tried to get a battery to explose. It did. I don't mean to say you should do what I do. Construction and electrician are good jobs.
