Yep, I can see how working windscreen wipers might be a bit of a help!! Weather is great here though - or it was until this morning. Freakily I got everything with my friend sorted really quickly - the thing is it is a little difficult to argue with someone who has been one of your closed friends for 21 years!! So all are happy again, and we'll probably go out on Thursday night, drink a lot, joke about what happened between us, and fall over somewhere (according to her, and the guy, it isn't a proper night out unless someone gets injured!)
But I have a strange feeling that things are just going to get more "interesting" as time goes on!!
LiG
P.S. You are way too observant - I didn't think that anyone other than me notices things like missing commas!!

My windshield wipers haven't worked properly since around.. Well, they haven't worked PROPERLY since I bought the car last June, and they haven't WORKED since around anuary or something. I thought it was about time to get it fixed.
Anyhow, holding grudsges against your oldest friends can be a bit hard sometimes, if the reason for the grudge isn't tooserious to forget. And if it's too serious to just forget, then a small token revenge to settle the score is in order.
I think you've mentioned that friend of yours before (especially the night out without injury part). Walking around "singing"/shouting song lyrichs is another sign that the evening has been somewhat of a success. I think I did that last weekend. Walked home from the pub "singing" Flower of Scotland together with two other Swedes. Well, I guess I was the only one singing, but still. It got me free beer!

PS. I spent a lot of time "home page spotting" a few years back. People told me to take a look at their home pages, and I found all flaws they had done. After a while they thought that I was being too meticulous in the search, so they stopped asking. Oh well.. Their loss.

I don't know what it is about my friends, a lot of them seem to think that you have to get injured (and if possible not remember how) for it to be a good night. Of course, if you asked them about me, they might say the same thing.
I'm impressed - free beer for singing, I think I might try that one myself.
I'm seriously bored here this morning. There doesn't seem to be anything going on, and I can't even spend too much time online becuase I'm not too sure if they approve of me doing it during working hours. I never thought I'd wish for a busy day at work!!

To make matters even better, I think they have the "Free beer for singing a Karaoke song" every Friday night at that pub. Good place to go at the end of the salary, then.
I think that as long as you have a hangover, or at least an ache in the neck from tilting your head back too much, the day after it can be counted as a good night out. BUt we all have our different perceptions and interpretations, I guess.
You may not be allowed to access the web during work hours? That sucks! There is nothing worse than having it available, but you aren't allowed to use it. At my last job, they thought I spent too much time online, so they simply deleted Nutscrape from my work station. I didn't like that very much, I can tell you. They didn't really care that even if I surfed the net for a couple of hours each day, I still got my quota done, while others didn't even bother to get the quota done. I'm sure that I'm not actually supposed to be surfing as much as I am right now, but there's nothing else to do, so they can't tell me to stop, cause then I would spend my time sending junk mail instead, and they want that even less. So I keep surfin'.
Oh, and I do know about the feeling of wanting work to be more busy, if only to break off the boredom. Not a good feeling.

I'm back at last!! Can't stay long as this is taking up phone line and my brother appears to be waiting for a phone call - new girlfriend??!
Just to say that I've got access again - computer was broken for months and no-one was able to get the chance to fix it.
How did the meeting in Edinburgh go??

Good to have you back. Strange thing, really.. I mentioned you in another thread a couple of days ago (one about "lost children" that lives in countries not their own). Funny how that happens so often. You think of someone, and a day or two after, you get a message from that person.
Anyhow, it's good to hear from you, the meet in Edinburgh was fine, although we did lose a couple of people, due to a very strangely decharged phone battery. You can find more info (and pictures from the meet) on my home page.
