Dear
Pirate alexander le Gray,
I watched the programme and did not understand what it was about.
I wish that I could dance my friend. However, as my hips no longer exist, thank goodness I am in a wheelchair because I can at least get around the flat on wheels. !!
Nice of you to send me that entertaining news of that chap who basically is a rather nasty person and who cheats the government. !!!

Wot, he goes for a dance and gets to go to prison for it; I keep getting told by my Dr to get some exercise, it will help your heart to get better.
I tell him no way, cos ya end up in prison for that. So I just helps myself to the booze

Hope is what keeps a lot of people alive. Somebody (I don't remember who) said that all of us need three things:
1. something to do
2. someone to love
3. something to look forward to
I have 1 and 3 locked away, and I choose to love many rather than turn anyone away unloved. I look forward to enjoying the company of my friends on H2G2, and trying to think of ways to make the world a better place (a slow process, but I hope to have enough time to make a good start. )

ah, perfect, this brings me to the second thing i learned from Douglas Adams:
"the point is that there is no point in driving yourself mad trying to stop yourself going mad. you might as well give in and save your sanity for later"
i have lived by this since i first read it and i have to tell you, the man was a bl**dy genius!

Yes, he was a genius. I cab't figure out some of what he was saying, but that's exactly the effect that a genius would have.

What are these rumors about your leaving us, Pierce? If you find my sanity while you are away, could you please wrap it safely in a and bring (or send) it back to me? I've missed it.
