We wouldn't stop here anyway. It isn't in us to stop being curious. The people in my country tend to oscillate between wanting to encourage greed [amassing huge fortunes, while those less fortunate get lost between the cracks] and trying to give away more than the country can afford to give. This is dependent on which half of the country is in charge after elections. Given that we can't seem to find one position and stick with it, wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have so much of the world depending on us?
[Actually, we depend on China and Japan to buy our Treasury securities so our government spending won't come to a screeching halt. But our consumers figure prominently in the purchase of trillions of dollars of stuff that China and Japan, among others, manfacture. We also grow tons of wheat, corn, and soybeans, and sell them pretty much everywhere. We probably aren't going to stop doing any of these things. It makes some people nervous to think that we would offer to give some of our extra food to other countries. Maybe at some point we would find ourselves hungry...]

"amen to that
we may not make it before it is too late. "
It is already too late we got the tories, they's debating changing the law to kick me out of my home without regard to if I can afford to move, then limiting tenancies to a fixed term like 5 years.
Them tories are thick cos why should I spend dosh on making my garden and home nice if I'm getting kicked out soon and anyways I would have to save enough for the moves, in it.
That's on top of making sure I'se down't get a pension and have my income reduced by 20% cos heart disease, a brain injury stopping me from having a drivin license and diabetes aint sick enough to qualify.
Did I see the banks give themselves another trillion in bonuses.
Thems attacking the working class poor sick people first thens they are coming for you.

My dancing talent, such as it is, has never made anyone else happy (except the many who found it amusing), so I only do it when no one can see me. But sometimes it makes me happy.

I wished I could dance; if I dance I die. It is forboden. But look on the bright side, I get to drink as much booze as I can steal from dancers while they are doin it.

Well, heck, I saw George Burns do a soft-shoe routine in a movie when her was 97. If he could do it, surely I could, too. But the key was that he didn't do it at all fast.

Where there is life there is hope...How true. I should know. I have been feeling half dead for the last two years. Today I have worken up feeling just great.
The sun is shining and the sea is sparkling - there is a gentle breeze blowing - my carer is coming in in two hours, and someone is coming to take me for a outing in my faithful carriage this afternoon.
I have had a lovely letter from my daughter in Australia, I had a lovely visit from my grand0daughter. And Keith is well and happy and full of joy. All these things mean so much to me and so I quite forget all the horrid things which have happened.
With to all of you wonderful members of a fabulous group.
