E! You're back? At last? You're back once more??

Hoorray!!!! smiley - biggrin

How have you been? We haven't spoken in ages!

Your little update reminded me about what you were studying. Guess what? I'm applying to Royal Holloway to do MSci physics too. smiley - smiley (OK, along with Oxford, Bristol, Durham, Bath and Southampton, but you know. smiley - winkeye)

(By the way, you do remember me, don't you? The Professor... The Big C... BigC... used to allow people onto my Space Station... broke netiquette rules on many occasions... was a terrible VR role-player. smiley - winkeye)

Of *course* I remember you! smiley - smiley

And if you're going to be applying to RHUL, you'll be invited along for an interview, so you'll get to see the department and get to sit in T118 and have tea and biscuits whilst the rest of us listen at the door to see what you're all talking about.. smiley - winkeye Have you been to an open day yet? Well, OK, so you'll get to see the uni first anyway when you come for an interview, which isn't anything to be scared of, the lecturers are easily distracted onto other more preferable topics..smiley - winkeye

And, well, all I can say for Durham is it being a very very nice city, that i really really love, but as far as the university physics department goes, i can't really say anything for that....apart from RHUL having the number 1 physics department, beating oxford cambridge and ..well..everyone, according to the latest Guardian report.

We're also one of the few departments to offer an MSci all in one with it being a 4 year course, which is very very *very* good...only you have to travel into london to go to kings college and imperial college for a few of the 4th year lectures, only the department pays your travel costs, so that's good too!

Eek! i'm starting to sound like a promotional video.. smiley - winkeye But what can i say, i really do love my uni smiley - biggrin And if you do get to turn up for an interview, i'll more than likely see you sitting there in T118 looking nervous because you walked through the woods and our deer ran out on you.. smiley - winkeye

I just thought you might not recognise the name. I can't remember what it was when I last saw you. smiley - winkeye

Oh no, it's not one of those group interview things, is it? smiley - yuk I'm terrible at those, or was anyway. I might get through it. smiley - erm

RHUL has the best physics department, does it? Neat. smiley - smiley But if I get an offer from Oxford, I really ought to accept that one - between the names Oxford and Royal Holloway, Oxford bares perhaps /slightly/ more weight. smiley - winkeye

If I do come for an interview, I'll tell you so you can look out for me. smiley - winkeye

But enough about unis! How are you? What's been happening all this time? smiley - smiley

smiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrin So your back ! Good to see you. Blimey 3rd year eh, and I think last time we spoke you were a nervous fresher.

Good to see your back - what prompted that? Couldn't stay away after two years, most addictions are over after that long a gap.

;-D again.

Chris
