It's the ivory peg-leg decorated with gold that gave the game away, Pierce .
Booked my tickets! I'll be there from 2nd to the 30th March. Back here for Easter and then about turn to the island again

Didn't some of the guys in the background use to be frogs?

The painting. It looks like a cel from "The Princess and the Frog."

...and it's snowing a blizzard again as I write. Thank bob I just went to the town to buy some fresh supplies and stock up on Library books for my mother. This is not supposed to be Scandinavia - nor do we usually have continental winters.
Mind you there is a growth industry in the next village, where some enterprising soul is selling some lovely wooden sledges. So, it's good news for them.

We had a brilliant sledge as kids... problem was it was very* heavy, wooden, and only really worked if there was enough* snow.... which I remember happening about once when I was younger.... at the moment it'd be a daily occurance
We had a bit more snow today, on top of what was already there and I have to go out this evening I may dig my hiking boots out just to be on the safe side

Are you well under snow there Pierce then? Any good polar bears or snowcats?

I imagine you have enough snow for a horse-drawn sled, both you and Pierce. Mind you, you'd feel the draught riding around in the open air.
