Okay, I admit it - I am winter phobic. I also hate that stress in the run up to Christmas. I love the 12 days of Christmas - once all the madness and conspicuous consumerism has been ended.

That's because you have an authentivc relationship with Christmas. The ones who prolong the period before December 25 are celebrating Advent, not Christmas.

Yes, December 20/1 is Solstice, except in 2012, when it's the End of the World, a soprt of Mayan Apocalypse.
