Just Landed
I guess there are only three things you need to know about anyone, where have you been, where are you at and where are you going.
So, here's my story.
Where I Have Been
I was born at an early age in Glasgow, Scotland. This situation remained largely unchanged until I gave up my home land and came to England in order to steal their jobs and charm their women.
I spent some time in the Midlands, living in Solihull, Coventry and Northampton. Before realising that I was a big city boy at heart, and taking the plunge to come to London.
Where I Am At
Right now I am in the centre of the most exciting city I have ever lived in - London. For the first time in my life I have found more things to spend money on than I have money to spend. And, when I spend time on my own it's because I have chosen to do so, rather than through having no other choice.
London is a wonderful, vibrant city, but I feel like I have had more than enough of the Rat Race, so I am packing it all in in a few months and seeking out some other paths in life.
Where I Am Going
Lots of places I hope, thus my interest in the guide. In particular I have a soft spot for islands. I have found that the most interesting people in the world tend to live on islands. This has something to do with having a nice bit of ocean between you and anyone who might take offence at your strange customs. Islands also give people a sense of security in their customers and beliefs which comes from not having to worry about being invaded all the time.
My favourite islands are Orkney and Skye in Scotland, although I have a soft spot for Ibiza in the summer time.
In September I am going to head Down Under, so any tips on places to visit around Aus, NZ etc would be greatly appreciated.
