Well, stuff's growing. But this far north, it will take awhile before we see anything in the veggie line.

And it will take several years for that apple tree to bear. But the blueberries should be ripe by 4 July, they say.

will you eat them raw as such for a dessert (with cream) ? and or make jam ?

It's only two bushes, so not enough for jam yet. I think we'll probably just eat them.

I saw a advert on tv, about a blueberry juice drink and apparently, they flood a field so the berries float to the top for harvesting ?
is that a true thing ?

That is true - about cranberries. Not blueberries.

Cranberries are those red things. And they grow in bogs in Maine, up that way. And they do float like that.

And boy, is that juice good for you. You should try it.

I can't remember if I tried it before ? but I'll certainly buy a carton on Saturday for a "reference"

Cranapple's good, but any blend that takes your fancy...

At Thanksgiving and Christmas, cranberry sauce is traditional, too. But the juice is actually good against urinary infections and such, and helps build up your immune system, I think.

And it's tasty.

my sister puts cranberry sauce with the turkey at xmas, I've never bothered with it

If you get the whole-berry kind, you'll like it, promise. Unless everything you eat has to be sweet.

Okay, speaking of food, I'm off. There's a pizza in the oven with my name on it and a lot of mushrooms...which they promised are a 'naturally gluten free food', hurrah...

Chinese spare ribs tonight NO mushrooms

I'd 4 "American jerky" flavoured wings left (tried flavour for 1st time)so I thought I'd have them and add a few Chinese spare ribscut the packet open and err! that's strange spare ribs that look like southern fried wings ?opened wrong packet

so had 2 of them with the jerky ones

Aha.

I don't take specs into kitchen when using cooker, steams upso it looked like spare rib one
