I opened an email attachment from my bro-in-law a few year ago and got clobbered by a virus that nearly wiped out my pc HIS WAS wiped out I managed to save mine

It is the F-Secure Safe and I have F-S-Decure Virtual Private Network VPN security protection. I will ask which Security protection as well as the VPN is best for my laptop.

AVG AntiVirus FREE.
This is still one of the best free versions, if not the best of the rest
I used it for ages, but then bought Kaspersky's anti virus/internet set up on a 3 year deal

Hello Prof and MS I have been recommended the 360 total security which is free, which I have now got a different VPN which is Surfshack and have a subscription paid for 25 months.

It is a lot less than I paid over a year ago from another company to have my computer fixed. The man who did it is more local and it was luck that I found him.

Tomorrow I am going to have my gas boiler repaired tomorrow as it has been off since yesterday (approximately 5:30pm) as it was switched off by the engineer. He placed a safety sticker saying that it is not safe to be switched on. I have been having problems since last November.

Thanks Prof, This morning I get a voice message on my smart phone saying that they could not get the part in time for my boiler so my appointment was cancelled. The telephone number that was given out in the message was said so quickly that I could not make out all the numbers and had to play it several times but still not get the message or reference number right as it was said so quickly. I used the phone number of the caller where it took nearly half an hour for an appointment to be sorted it out, first it was going to be Thursday but I begged them for it to be done earlier as I am a vulnerable adult with autism and I am chronically ill ( I am on the Thurrock vulnerable list of repairs but they don't share the information with Liberty Gas who looks after Thurrock's Council tenant's gas central heating, so that it is why I was not flagged as priority.

Simba petted me with his paw to get me my attention, so I had to place his dish filled with dry cat food next to him to eat.

Kat! That's typical of councils and other associations etc "they" say vulnerable people etc are our top priority - ha!

Now-a-days, we have telephones/internet/fax machines or walk into the office along the corridor! ALL information can get to the respective departments within minutes

Simba is much more intelligent than your council folk!!
Too bad that they simply don't do an "emergency" re-read of the vulnerable listing when needed.
