"In the coming days I may be not writing much at all because The State of California is finally getting around to removing the lead that's been saturated in my backyard as a result of the Exide Technologies debacle. One of their battery recycle/lead smelting plants dumped a lot of the stuff in and around my neighbourhood. We were supposedly going to get help right away, but nothing doing. In any case, we're going to see work done here most likely at the start of 2020."

It's regarding lead contamination of the soil where he lives


We are getting rapid service here after a four year delay! Soil removal starts this morning at 0730, going to 1530. It's projected to last until next Wednesday. Lots of restrictions on basic movement around the house, so to speak, so I plan to be off the property during the scheduled time daily until next Thursday.

Non substance fueled happiness is really .
As far as the soil removal goes, it seems like the contractors who do the work are simply overloaded with jobs. It was a massive area that got hit, so that shouldn't be a surprise.

We might have a small delay come Thursday, as we have a storm coming in??

The contractors work from 0730 to 1530 Monday-Friday. There are certain travel restrictions for the house, such as no going in or out without escort and foot protection to keep from tracking contaminants back in to living spaces,etc.

Now it's a new year and new decade How about a total decor change in the bar ?

What, no more Leeds United or Rhino's kit or banners??

I have had my laptop taken in for repair. I hope it won't take long to berepaired. I am using my smart phone which is not easy to use as it is so time consuming using my stylus as it I'd my preferred method. Simba my cat is sitting upright similing at the YouTube screen on my TV.

Thanks Prof,I'll be getting my laptop back as it has had a lot of work done to it and will cost £75. My laptop picked up a virus, the first time I have ever got a virus on any of my previous computers, since 2003.

whose anti virus/malware product do you use ?
A free one or a bought one ? (yearly subscription set up etc)
