Back to Yorkshire, I saw a drama about The Yorkshire Ripper, I know it was 40 odd years ago but some of those in charge needed a slap

History has and always will have, miscarriages of justice..
IE: Post Office.

The ones that can see "the horse has bolted early" very rarely are "listened to"

and most times it's "cover your ass" at the top of the chain!!!

That Post Office Scandal was appalling and where did the post office get the power to prosecute, more importantly , where's the money

"more importantly" ?

Will ? and who ? will be held up for it ? and "politics etc" who will get off with it and just get a slap on the hand

Cost to eventually be covered by the tax payers as per!!!!

I don't think there can be a whitewash of this, because of the TV drama it's in the public consciousness if they whitewash this, they will lose the election

I bet they'll be no "jail sentences for anyone"
More like - can't hold a "company position etc for a certain timescale"

Either outcome, it'll be a travesty of injustice for all the sub-postmasters irrespective of ANY amount of compensation

But they have been promised to have their names cleared

Names cleared ok and I bet! Less compensation moneywise that SHOULD be paid to them.
But It don't take away the "hurt/pain etc" that honest people have had chucked at them..

Years ago in my RAOB Buffalo Lodge, I was once accused of stealing from another lodge by one of OUR Lodge brothers
I was defended by other members of my Lodge and the Lodge I was supposed to have stolen from

He apologised! I did not accept it! I told him - that was against everything I stood for in life..

New Year same old s**t

Years ago I had a wooden sign given as a b/day prezzie by my sister (I think ?)
It shows a with the words:- same s**t just a different day...

It's on my front room wall

I know that saying well

She also (for a b/day) got me an glass ashtray (when I smoked)
it had the words:- Modesty is hard for a genius like me - in bedded in it
